The reason I personally don’t comment on those bot posts is because there’s no real OP that might be interested in my answer/opinion so I think “Why even bother?”.

Ich sehe das grundsätzlich ähnlich. Würd noch ergänzen, dass oft auch einfach die Kreativität fehlt oder über die Jahre abhanden gekommen ist. In der pflanzlichen Küche ist so viel möglich abseits von Salat oder dem obligatorischen Curry. Es gibt viele Gerichte, die einiges her machen, lecker sind und trotzdem nicht allzu aufwendig oder voller “Ersatzprodukte”. Man müsste sich nur etwas Inspiration holen bzw. mit moderner Küche auseinandersetzen. Hierfür fehlt dann wahrscheinlich leider oft, wie du schon gesagt hast, der Anreiz. Ja und manche sind halt vermutlich tatsächlich einfach etwas mit dem Thema überfordert und wissen gar nicht recht, wie sie das am besten angehen sollen, dass es letztendlich für sie passt UND die Gäste.

Ich find nicht, dass du das zu negativ siehst. Das ist halt alles in der Tat sehr schwach.

Ja, die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass wir das mal brauchen werden ist, zumindest derzeit, vermutlich eher gering, aber im Umkehrschluss hat bis vor Jahren auch keiner geglaubt, dass wir mal mit einer riesen Pandemie zu kämpfen haben werden die alles über den Haufen wirft.

The big one are the upvotes, yes. I saw some posts somewhere why they don’t always align but currently can’t find one to link to. The small one is time.

The rules seem good to me, including Nr 6. I also like it that you are looking out for your community and want to provide a great atmosphere here.

I think instead of the OBJ box you should see an Emoji. I get that sometimes, too. I don’t know if it’s a bug or has something to do with Unicode.

Yes that’s true and I’m sure it isn’t that bad. I just don’t like the way they are trying to force their browser on everyone which is why I try to avoid Edge as much as possible. It’s kind of a personal principle now. Microsoft likely doesn’t care about that though since, as you said, they are successful with that technique.

I really hope that won’t be the case. So far I like Lemmy and the vibe here a lot and am not afraid to comment somewhere which was the case on Reddit. I hope it stays that way, guess we’ll see that after the blackout.

I’m not in the community and I don’t get it either. Why can’t people just let other people be themselves (if they don’t hurt anyone of course and aren’t mean and such)? I’m so sorry that you feel this way because you shouldn’t have to for just being you. I do my best and point people out if they use hateful language and why that’s hurtful to someone.

It’s a first for me. I wanted to join Mastodon but didn’t know what instance to choose and was generally confused about how everything works so I didn’t create an account. With Lemmy it was different since I really wanted to join. So I took my time to figure everything out and it is way less complicated than I initially thought. But I get why it might seem confusing at first, especially subscribing to communities on different servers.

Same. I think this might also be one of the reasons people join larger instances (besides not knowing where to go). At least it was like that for me. I really hope we see that feature sooner than later. Maybe I’ll try setting up my own instance when I have enough time to figure out how that works.
