  • I agree with your outlook 100%. However, beehaw has made themselves a community intentionally to be safe for their like-minded members, which I also understand. It does get tiring to see hate spewed without much reason or direction.

Your point is partially why I stuck with .ml rather than switching over to a different instance. I understand that they also have controversial instances blocked but it’s not like I can’t see them still.

Rational thought takes a bit of effort for some people and its normally easier to either isolate or congregate.

  • You could be what is called a “sex-positive asexual.” It basically means how it sounds. It does sound a bit like that, based off your description though.

It’s kinda funny. Once you get to experience the act it’s kinda like… “this is it, huh? The pinnacle of human euphoria. Huh.” I think that’s where it starts for a lot of people. They start to question of they’re “broken,” or whatever, because they don’t share the same admiration of it as their peers. That is how it felt for me anyway.

Only you can tell yourself if you resonate with it, but whatever you decide on, you’re welcome here.

  • The other comments already mentioned this, but I’ll just reiterate myself…

Ace doesn’t mean being a lone wolf. The only thing it really means is that you experience little to no sexual attraction. You could still be heteromantic, homoromantic, or somewhere in between. For example I’m heteromantic ace. I’m in a “normal-passing” relationship. I have a bf that I’ve been together with for almost 10 years now. No one would know if they didn’t truly know me; and truthfully, no one knows me that well anyway.

It’s tough being an ace in the dating pool, I get it. Your own dating pool seems so slim. But even if you don’t find another ace to date, that’s okay. And not only that but there’s also a spectrum of gray ace to explore too.

What you explained in your original post makes me think that there was a slight consideration of aro instead. Aromatic is something a bit different but nevertheless important to understand as well.

    Good luck.
