Really good article. I love the idea of compartmentalizing specific tasks and functions to smaller CPUs dedicated for those tasks, and the move away from monolithic architectures. I really hope we start seeing Risc-V accelerate into more devices in the next few years.
Definitely, I’m really hopeful that we’ll start seeing some open hardware going forward. And China has a lot of incentive to invest in further advancing RISC-V architecture since it’s already being used there to develop domestic chips.
I’m gonna spend some time tonight reading and watching some vids on RISC-V and getting pumped for it 😎
That’s a solid way to spend the night. :)
hehe sounds like a good plan, and one I’ll probably yank 🙃
Casual people: imma binge some Netflix shows
This guy on a regular night: RISC-V educational videos
Well who am I kidding, I watch documentaries and podcasts and read stuff everyday
Wow, medium is so bloated i couldn’t load it on my phone with firefox focus. Stuck at the first paragraph.
Such a shitty plateform.
Yeah, I don’t know how it’s still so popular. It used to be decent at one point, but those days are long past.
