I think some were interesting but overall I can’t shake the feeling they are a poor replacement for new elite specs. If any of them end up being good it will probably become the new go to weapon for every spec of that profession, which isn’t really good for variety.

I somewhat understand what you are talking about but the buggy and poorly maintained Elite Dangerous isn’t the best example to support your argument. BG3 getting a pass on some features for the series S is exactly what other games should be able to do if it makes sense for them.
The series died when they killed desmond in favor of keeping the story open for endless sequels.

I like the changes jobs received,as in, very little. I actually enjoy the current gameplay. The most important thing is the content, and it really feels like they are going to deliver big time in Dawntrail.

In Eve, you control your ship in a 3D view more akin to a strategy game. In SC you pilot it from the cockpit like say Elite Dangerous or other space sims.
