That’s the one.
That’s the one.
I’m going to patent the crap out of everything.
Like if you push a button in the direction your character is facing you move in that direction. I’m going to patent that shit.
Then I’m going to patent that if you push button and the opposite direction of your character, if it’s a 3D game you turn around. And then I have ab separate patent with having the character walk backwards.
I’ll just take the absolute piss out of the most basic things and absolutely everything I can find. And then throw a bunch of frivolous patent lawsuits at Nintendo.
I know it’s petty. But maybe Nintendo, like many other corporations in the gaming industry, have just been around maybe a little too long and have lost the vision and the purpose. Cuz at this point Nintendo’s not even trying. But they are heavily relying on nostalgia for sales. They’re more known for being a litigious company than a gaming company.
This is way too real. Company I work for has 100% layed people off, pulled access, and until they call in saying ‘something’s wrong’ there’s no warning. I’ve seen entire departments get gutted, only to see all of those jobs outsourced to WiPro.
Fairly certain I’ve bought a game that was like 34 cents or something. I definitely charged me the 34 cents.
I’d say yes. Earlier this week, it navigated me, and I assume a metric ton of people through road construction. Took me over an hour to get to My destination. There’s no chance that was actually the fastest route. 0 chance road construction and stalled cars was faster than literally anything else
God Dammit Loch Ness Monster, I ain’t gonna give you no tree fiddy.
Trust in Lord Gaben
At some point, someone is going to figure out George Orwell was actually a time traveler, and he tried to fix things with books. He had to deliver the message that way because if he just shouted in the streets the things that were going to happen, he’d been written off as a madman. Change a few details here and there… and then sell it as “fiction”…
And she was 20 when they scanned her! Suffice to say, we’ve been waiting a while! She’s a grandma now!
Yep, it’s the same formula for commercials and fliers you see. Just on Reddit, they have to prep to fight back because people can actively voice their opinions where billboards/fliers/commercials, they don’t have to deal with that.
I’ve experienced stuff like this.
I think the last time I tried being above and beyond type of host, had a bunch of people coming over for a big weekend. I thought I do something really special and make steaks. But this wasn’t just going to be like any grilled steak no no no. These steaks were going to be prepped the night before and then sous vide. But before I even started this plan I reached out to everyone and said what I was planning to do and ask if there were any issues with it, any requests, etc. I describe to everyone and great detail what I was going to make. Not one person said anything other than the “sounds good”.
If you’re unfamiliar with sous vide the short of it is it takes a long time to cook. Generally it’s measured in hours I’d say. As such I need to cook all of the steaks at the same temperature for the same amount of time I don’t have the setup at home to do individual orders.
One of the individuals once they got here, asked if I could make them a hamburger instead. Like I was a fucking restaurant.
And another one slathered it with ketchup without even trying it without. Claimed it was overcooked and dry. 🤨
Thankfully everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their perfect steaks.
Other times I would buy up a bunch of stuff so we could have breakfast. Like a proper breakfast, not just a handful of carbs in calling it good. But people would wake up late despite knowing when breakfast was going to be on. And then say they weren’t hungry. And not 30 minutes out the door, talking about picking up something or swinging by somewhere to quick grab a bite.
Dragon Ball was using capsules to store things long before Pokemon did. And Dragon Ball Z, which ended in Japan in '96 had already done storing 'creatures in capsules. Saibamen for one. And after the Saiyan saga Bulma puts her dead friends in coffin capsules.
So Akira Toriyama did it before Pokemon.
Janeway, no contest.
First beat then negotiated peace with Species 8472.
Bested multiple enemies who used time travel.
Made the Borg look like chumps several times.
Survived years of Neelix’s cooking.
What is Kerrigan going to do that Janeway hasn’t already dealt with?
This is what everyone wanted! Another “as a service” game! Oh, and look, a store front!
and partner with some “Sims” players to sell their own custom in-game content through the EA store as “Creator Kits.”
Would those “players” be musicians? 100% someone is already trying to figure out how to “collab” with Katy Perry. Big IPs of other franchises (movies/games/anime)? Are they going to do limited timed events to really push the FOMO? Did they see Fortnite and thought “Lets do that!”.
I was very entertained. If you like the first one I say there’s a really good chance you’re going to like this one.
Everything in that title sounds like something from a 90s movie.
And? Microtransactions were already standard for Blizzard a long time ago before Microsoft showed up.
I personally prefer Azure over AWS.
And they use arch btw
Maybe this could have been avoided if he only had 13 hours of training… 😥
But for real, I hope they pull the money from the pension of everyone involved, and then fire everyone involved for being literally to fucking stupid. So many people had an opportunity to do anything, to use a brain cell, but not a single one did.
