a portion of the arkenfox wiki where a bunch of popular, yet unnecessary, extensions are discussed. make good use of it :-)

I did not know about this list. It is super nice. And not so common to see, but necessary and required nonetheless, I would say. One usually sees only articles introducing new extensions and prompting to install them, not the other way around. Thank you. I find myself still having some redundant extensions from the past installed here and there I know about, probably even more that I do not know about. I will have to spare some time to clean my setups, I guess.

yup, plus I recognize the average user can easily keep track of how built-in protections and extensions might overlap. nowadays once hardened firefox makes most of them useless, nice to see.

My thoughts, exactly. I can only agree. I have often thought about some extension only to keep it installed anyway because I was not sure its functionality truly overlapped with something new added to the browser or with another extension.

Regarding Neat URL, ClearURLs, anyone has a filter list for uBlock Origin to suggest that remove most tracking parameters from URLs?

The article says that LocalCDN is useless for privacy, but doesn’t it decrease network usage?

What’s the “RFP” frequently mentioned in the document? I can’t find any setting about it and am confused by Internet search results about it.

Thank you, at least the explanation of the acronym helps. I’m looking for more info, it seems to refer to a setting in about:config.

I find temporary container feel more convenient to have an incognito-like mode in the same window. Although incognito mode may have different settings such as several extensions disabled so it may be better or worse depending on what I need.
