I think I’ve settled on the latter. Disagreement is maybe best communicated by the absence of an upvote? And downvotes work best when they signal something that is just off base, and while not reportable, is not appreciated at a broad cultural level.
Wouldn’t that require a healthy and honest community where nobody abuses the intent?
Surely, if everybody on your server did the right thing except for a single person with a couple of puppet accounts - Wouldn’t that user have extraordinary strong power over what initially gets considered “acceptable” by “the community”?
