I traded going over 1080p for having multiple monitors. Though a colleague tells me with an ultrawide, it’s even better because you get to experience the best of both worlds. I’ll have to try that in a couple of years. Now my goal is to get VR.
Excited for you! I know a lot of folks are pretty “meh” on VR, but I’ve been using it for at least the past 6-7 years and it just keeps getting better. The magic never wears off. Have some fun with it when you get it, and remember to take breaks!
I always thought ultrawide would be nice, but having tried it recently, it wasn’t really worth it for gaming. For productivity, sure, but the extra space in my horizontal peripheral vision was only noticeably enjoyable in racing games.
