Dog-sized dinosaurs are one of the most popular animals on the planet right now, so much so that they’re the default flavor “everything tastes like.”

I don’t think chickens are usually referred to as “dog-sized” even if it’s occasionally true.

Would dogs be more popular if they were big as dinosaurs though?

They were small like dogs too. Remember that scene in Jurassic Park where all the little dinosaurs ganged up on Hammond and ate the shit out of him? Or was that just in the book… Well either way there were small dinosaurs. They just don’t get as much press.

Which they made bigger in Jurassic Park, so that’s actually proving the point. A bigger raptor species was only discovered after the first movie.

Wrong. I for one would love to have a minibronto. Or a lap-diplodocus. Or a triceratops named Spikey.

Hell, Archaeropteryx would look great perched on the curtain rod like a small parakeet.

And if you have rodent issues in your house, just unleash the T-rex. On that note, does Latin have a diminutive form of “Rex” ?

Plus, imagine the two playful Pachycephalosauri bumping their heads together all the time, with an audible click every time they did.

Also, who wouldn’t want an aquarium or a fish pond inhabited by a Nanolodon?
