Me and my buddy are using different system now. I’m in PC and he’s in PS5. We were playing Genshin and it started to be very boring. Do you guys know any games that support crossplay, free or paid, that are good.
No shooting games please.
Thankss :)
What is the percent chance of Diablo 4 being unplayable after the initial price on X years? Unless it’s guaranteed not to hinder play with future monetization plans?
“Have you heard of the critically-acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 Online? It’s got a trial that’s free to play all the way up to level 60, and includes all of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning Heavensward expansion. Join Eorzea today!”
FF14 has PS4/PS5/PC crossplay, worth trying out imo. (Note that the base game story before Heavensward is p slow, and you have to upgrade to a paid subscription to invite friends to parties)
Also if you pay for the subscription you are never allowed to go back to the trial.
Fighting games? Street Fighter 6, The King of Fighters XV and Guilty Gear Strive all have crossplay, are pretty recent and good fun even if you don’t want to fully dedicate yourselves to it.
For Honor would be an addition I would make to the pile.
Been a while since I took a break from it because of balance - is turtling still op strat?
Never played it but heard good things about it. Is it similar to Mordhau? If it is, I second your recommendation, because I played that game with friends and had a ton of fun.
It’s a lot closer to a typical fighting game than Mordhau, TBH. Combat is more structured around “moves” that you have rather than being able to just drag a weapon around wherever.
Ah, so it’s a bit more complex, in a way. I’m guessing you can chain moves together as well? That seems pretty cool.
Diablo 4 was just released and it supports cross play and is a very good game that is being actively updated to be even better.
And just like that no one cares that Blizzard has a work culture that encourages sexual harassment
People never cared. Just look at CoD, MWII was the fastest-selling game in franchise history and it’s the same company. People don’t give a damn unless it personally affects them.
Second D4, I’ve mainly been playing with a mix of PC/Xbox, but works with no issue. You all just need to have blizzard accounts and be friends on those accounts
I hear it’s an amazing game but it’s hard not to also call it a cash grab considering it’s $70 with a cash shop that has single items over $20
think of the d4 cash shop as cosmetics that don’t affect you and lets people who do want them fund your free DLC in the future of the game
personally I kinda like this model over the loot box filled nightmare it would have been if it released in 2017 ish and also over the DLC mess diablo 3 was
Who promised free DLC?
I’m gonna go on a limb here at suggest that the future of D4 and it’s DLCs will likely look more like OW/2.
They do affect me.
The fact that they’re paywalled means that they aren’t earned by playing the game, which means that whether I pay for them or not my experience is much, much worse. Earning cool shit is the core gameplay loop of a game like Diablo.
Yeah I mean I’m just old but I preferred games the way they were 20 years ago, when all those cool cosmetics were in the base game, and they released paid expansions later
My favorite model for cosmetics was when they were just a part of the game you unlocked for free by playing it. Anyone else remember those days?
Fuck these greedy corporations lol
I recently finished Control after upgrading my 3570k (to actually be able to play a modern game at acceptable settings) and found it really refreshing that a newer game gives you cosmetic outfits for playing the damn game. It’s a game that doesn’t really finish once you complete the story so can see myself continuing it with my new clothes once get bored of TOTK.

I hate multiplayer games, but the only one I play from time to time is Rocket League with a friend. It’s good because we generally start casual just to have something to do while talking over discord, then you slowly get involved, win a bit, loose a bunch, get angry, get back to being chill and chatting, repeat.
Rocketleague is always fun.
Snow Runner. It’s offroading game with heavy duty trucks. You finish tasks in different maps and different regions to repair them after some disaster or neglect. It’s slow paced, some tasks can take up to full day to complete.
I find that this game allows for a lot of banter with friends while not being boring. If you cooperate you can do some more tedious tasks together or you can just each do whichever task you want.
And when I play single player, I love putting podcasts or audio books in background.SnowRunner is my podcast game for the same reason. It’s super chill.
Rocket League, Diablo 4, and Minecraft are all games I’ve played cross play and have never felt compelled to spend a dime after the initial purchase.
Fall guys is great
Split gate is fun
You should try out Omega Strikers! It’s free to play, but it’s done right imo. Very fun game of ball, 3v3 air hockey with anime characters. I’m usually super averse to PvP games and ranked modes, but even I’m trying to climb the ranked ladder in this one, it’s so much fun.
