You don’t use views or likes. You go to the reach and engagement tab in your analytics where breaks it all down. Watch time is the most important stat and dislikes is not correlated to it. You could have your video have 80% dislikes but the best watch time of your channel and your video is fine to get recommended anywhere cause it’s watch time is still fine.
Care to elaborate? Seems like a sensible change unless you’re in the business of selling dislikes.

I meant as a user. Now you have no way to know. A video could have many views because of advertising or being shown in a prominent place.
