    It wierdly is. Maybe because each side is demonising some group of people, so the end result is a powerful entity exterminating the group they see as bad. For the right it’s nationality and race, for the left it’s wealth and subservience.

      Those are the kinds of beliefs that false consciousness tends to produce.

      Capitalism makes the 99% subservient to the 1%, and socialists want to end that. I’ll tell you what the right’s racism & jingoism is: it’s wealthy people convincing non-wealthy white people to blame nonwhite people & foreigners for their problems, instead of correctly blaming the wealthy ruling elite themselves.

        I would argue that socialism is not the far left that causes problems. In communism, ie the far left, it’s the same as the far right; powerful and/or wealthy people oppressing the masses.

          I was taught that in high school. Turns out, it’s just not true.
