OF requires strict government issued ID verification in some jurisdictions. Patreon does not, at least in the US.
That should be your deciding factor already. No one should have their privacy invaded just to send you a few bucks a month.

What do you mean? RPCS3 is an excellent emulator. It’s not completely hardware accurate, almost no 3D emulator is, but it’s still pretty good.
Be aware, it’s not free as in costs $0, it’s free as a “Giveaway,” where you must accept these terms:
By clicking the ‘Add to library’ button, I agree to receive marketing communications from GOG and CD PROJEKT on my email address and through GOG services and GOG’s Trusted Partners’ services, to get Shadows: Awakening. See our Privacy policy.
The guy you were replying to is saying “People hate GrapheneOS because it requires a Pixel,” they were not saying “everyone in the world should be using a Pixel” as you seem to have mistaken.
You’re getting very fired up and heated in the comments here… maybe take a break?
He did not really step down, it was just a symbolic public gesture. He’s still actively contributing to the project, check the GitHub commits and comments. He just stopped having so many Twitter meltdowns.
I can’t believe OP is actually forklift certified
Forgejo is Gitea. It was a soft fork of Gitea, and more recently a hard fork.
You can read about why they hard forked, and decide for yourself if it’s worth switching, but the consensus is that Forgejo is in better hands than Gitea.
Currently it’s easy to migrate from Gitea to Forgejo, but the longer you wait and the more it diverges from Gitea, the harder it will become to migrate.
If you like the Forgejo direction and think it’s in better hands than Gitea, you might want to consider migrating sooner rather than later. All of your data should remain intact as it’s essentially a drop in replacement. This should only take you a few minutes if you’re using the Docker version of Gitea.
They also don’t magically make lawyers free. No lawyer is going to bother with an EULA squabble pro bono.
That’s true, they do have a Linux search filter on GOG.com.
Which is why it’s even weirder to me that they still don’t make GoG Galaxy available on Linux. It stinks, even for Windows games on Wine/Proton, because you can’t access cloud saves or online services without GoG Galaxy running.
I’ve managed to make it work with a hacky script to launch Galaxy under Wine, but it’s fragile, crashes sometimes, and I really just want something better.
They will do literally anything except support the Steam Deck
There was no judgement, only a settlement. Yuzu is not “illegal.” Nintendo can abuse DMCA and request GitHub take these down, and GitHub will probably listen, but Nintendo would not be “legally in the right” to do so.
It was just how the settlement was worded; this team is prevented from distributing “anything that circumvent’s Nintendo’s blah blah,” and Citra was developed by the same team. So, it got taken down all the same :(
Great work, thanks!
Anything on Citra? PineappleEA made it easy enough to also download binaries for Yuzu, but I’ve got nothing but a flatpak for Citra.
A central place for binaries of both emulators would be great.
Both flatpaks are still available, by the way:
https://flathub.org/apps/org.yuzu_emu.yuzu
https://flathub.org/apps/org.citra_emu.citra
They can be bundled and exported after downloading, although it will only be for the architecture of your machine.
AVNC is open source and it at least has a mini keyboard where you can queue Super to be held with your next keypress
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.gaurav.avnc/
If you’re using a USB or Bluetooth keyboard, it’s probably not possible for you to use your actual super key on it. That gets translated to “Home” in Android which is why you go back to your launcher. For whatever you’re trying to do, software keys is probably the only option.
Then I’m probably wrong. It’s not clear at all how those apps are doing it though. The API documentation is rough.
It doesn’t seem like the Lemmy API provides any way to tell if a remote instance has downvotes disabled or not.
I don’t think they were disagreeing with you, I think they were just trying to say:
You shouldn’t need braces to be vertically aligned if your code is uniformly indented. Then you can easily see what code is paired together just by their indentation level.
Of course this is not always true if you’ve got a bunch of crazy nested indentation pushing things off to the right.
That’s great, could they fix 4090’s literally starving themselves of power and hard crashing unless “Power management mode” is set to “prefer maximum performance?”
This has been an issue since launch. It isn’t even the default setting!
My banking app whines at me that “your phone is rooted, use at your own risk,” but otherwise it works fine. Every bank is different though.
Everyone sees this notice, I saw it on the official desktop Firefox client. They’re just trying to reach as many people as possible.
