Struggling to make ends meet isn’t an excuse to be a danger to other people.

I read it like that at first as well and actually have a use-case for it. I have a certification exam next week and that 24 hour rewind would be very helpful if I do terrible on the exam. lol
Interestingly, I read the full article more often now on lemmy vs back on reddit. Maybe because there aren’t a ton of comments on posts here so I don’t have context and need to just read it myself. Either way, it’s better because I get to form my own opinion instead of basing it off on other people’s comments.
Tubi is way better anyway.
The original StarCraft and Brood War. I’ve always hoped a movie would be made about the story/lore but hollywood doesn’t exactly have a good track record with turning games into movies.
Sorry, can you clarify this:
bill-paper (from buying stuff)
Do you mean the paper used for receipts? I kinda remember reading something about it but I can’t recall the exact details.
Because most people switching don’t know (or care) about the fediverse and decentralization. They are regular internet users who just want to get away from the cesspool that is twitter, so they go where other people are going.
Any distro on a bootable usb drive. Instant OS, no installation needed, just plug it in.
Nice. Do it with fried rice as well.
The post about Stephen King moving to Threads says otherwise. But to be fair, it’s Threads and not Bluesky, which people here hate more.
Lol good metaphor. Right now we’re just at the point where the ride is fullly pointed upwards and rising to the peak dropoff point that will drop in January.
Not really. I mean, sure it’s the same concept, but email has been getting semi-centralized between the big players now, with gmail and maybe icloud getting the largest chunk of users. That would be similar to letting users choose between .world or .ml to sign up with, which is against the fediverse principle to spread the load as wide as possible.
When you present the lowest common denominator internet user with hundreds of instances to choose from and requiring them to think further than clicking through a sign-up page, you lose user interest pretty quickly.
Use induction or electric stoves. They don’t have a visible fire so that might help with your worry of starting one. But remember it can still happen of course, it just helps that you’re not seeing an actual fire while cooking. Like others said, you can also use other electric cookware like an airfryer, griddle, etc. Just make it a habit to be always present and not forget that you’re cooking something and you’ll avoid most burning/fire accidents.
Yeah, that’s why the Andor series was so great. They didn’t make a Star Wars show, they made a great heist show that just so happened to transpire in the Star Wars universe.
Definitely Texas BBQ. Houston is also regarded as having the best and most diverse food in the state. So try whatever you can that won’t interfere with your treatment. As others said, NASA Space Center.
The US is the most litigious country in the world. They’re likely making sure all bases are covered just in case.
Nice! I saw the news about this earlier today and it’s cool to see it in action.
You practice minimalism because of the aesthetic and lack of clutter.
I practice minimalism because I don’t have money.
We are not the same.
The movie Interstellar supposedly had physicist consultants to try to get the depictions of space stuff as accurate as possible, in particular the blackhole. Not sure if the wormhole is the same, since we have no actual scientific data or evidence of one. So that’s probably the best guess they could make.
You can now give someone the finger and tell them that’s the only time you have for them
