The game is magical even with that one spoiler. Hell, I’d go so far as to say the puzzles aren’t even as important as the themes and story.

There are already places (in the U.S. and other countries entirely) with far, far lower taxes than MA. Why haven’t rich people moved already?
It’s a variant of the sarcastic “that couldn’t be me”
e.g.: “Goofing off for a week and then cramming the night before the final exam? That couldn’t be me /s.” -> “Not me goofing off for a week and then cramming the night before”
Or even if they don’t annihilate you, it still gives them so much of an advantage that any future games are biased in their favor.
Steam is an infinite money generator, yes, but any publicly owned company would have fucked it up for short term profits. Valve absolutely has its problems, but its focus on the long term and respecting its customers means it can make infinite money and do stuff like this.
You can set up for the rebellion and vote. It’s not one or the other. Coalition build, do direct action, set up for a general strike… And take 30 minutes out of that to vote for someone who’ll make it easier to do praxis, coalition building, etc. (not easy, but easier)
Same thing happened with net neutrality, California put NN into law, and the rest of the country followed because it doesn’t make sense to build a separate Internet for California.
I’m a huge fan of “The Alt Right Playbook”, which breaks down the dirty tactics the alt right uses to recruit people.
Also a huge fan of “In search of a flat Earth”, which looks at conspiracy theories, how they evolve, why people believe in them, and why “the shape of the Earth might actually be the least relevant part of the flat Earth conspiracy”.
