Except you have needed to have an iPhone to use an Apple TV, and to get around it required a workaround that wasn’t disclosed. It’s happened before, it can happen again.
Apple also telemetries the hell out of your data. The best they offer against this is to prevent them from using it for “targeted” marketing, but that doesn’t really mean much as Apple clearly states:
We provide some non-personal data to our advertisers and strategic partners that work with Apple to provide our products and services, help Apple market to customers, and sell ads on Apple’s behalf to display on the App Store and Apple News and Stocks.
Seriously, this myth of “Apple = Privacy/no ads” needs to go away.
Going to be blunt, looks like they took the original assets and put them thru an AI to with the prompt of “upscale these in the art style of Overwatch and Fortnite”.
“Bankruptcy for me, not for thee”
White out marker the Steam Deck?
Trump inherited a great economy from Obama, but ran it into the ground. (His 2018 tax cuts, etc …) Trump got out just as the consequences of his actions started to happen, just as Biden became president. This left Biden with a crashed economy which he worked hard to improve during his election (the US is considered the best and strongest economy after COVID).
Now, just because it’s doing the best, it doesn’t mean everyone is in the best shape. So people are just remembering that the economy on the surface looked better during Trump ) because of Obama) and looked worse during Biden (because of Trump) and assumed that the surface was the same underneath.
What will be really interesting is that the economy isn’t as solid this time for Trump so he’s most likely going to do even more economical damage to the US that will cause it to take even longer to fix for the next president(s).
The problem also is that there was quite a bit of voter intimidation of people with Trump flags heavily armed in some places “to make sure it’s a fair election”, Trump supporters choosing violence, and other issues like ballot boxes being burned, and ballots not coming to people preventing them from voting.
This could help explain why 10 million less votes happened this year for the Democrats because they could have been fearful of voting or just unable.
(And this also doesn’t include mailing ballots just being refused to be counted over simple issues as signatures not looking close enough to what’s on file.)
Don’t forget, only a few weeks ago we had “Armed Militia ‘Hunting FEMA’ Causes Hurricane Responders to Evacuate”.
FEMA has also been accused by former president Donald Trump and other Republicans of not being able to respond well enough to Helene because it had diverted disaster relief funds to help migrants. That is not true
This wouldn’t help FEMA workers feel safe.
I like how you say this and your instance is “sh. It just works”
Maybe used to 30 seconds being average?
Been a few years since I bothered. But, no never was. It was used on a Nexus S, Nexus 5, Nexus 10, and a Samsung Tab S3. All when they were new devices.
The Tab S3 was the last attempt years ago, but after so many attempts and fails, I just moved on.
And if it had been a low spec device issue, the system would freeze, not the app only.
Mozilla lost the Internet because mobile became the most common way to go online, and Mozilla (at least on Android) had been an absolute dumpster fire for years. I tried it a few times, but it would just randomly freeze for a few seconds for no reason. But I could switch to another browser and keep going at the same moment when Firefox froze so it wasn’t a phone issue.
How so, at least with this article? It mentions a couple times things like:
what she hasn’t done is disown the current tariffs on the imports of China, which have also been harmful.
if Harris wins and resumes Biden’s supposedly more strategic approach to tariffs, tech companies already feeling heavily burdened expect they would be stuck with extra costs under her administration
Harris hasn’t been clear about her plans for tariffs if elected
It’s unclear how quickly prices would rise if Trump or Harris expanded tariffs.
It feels (at least to me) pretty balanced on this that they will rise if either one is elected, they just can’t say how much under Harris because she hasn’t given details about it, which they point out many times. Trump has declared his intention, so that’s why his amount is shown.
Trump’s threat of a 60 percent tariff on all Chinese goods is perhaps the clearest worst-case scenario for tech companies preparing to adapt as administrations shift.
Just randomly wondering, which distro did you use on what hardware?
Still only have one account.
The Apple TV runs the Apple TV app.
It’s not a hardware issue that tracks you, it’s every app baked into it which has its own privacy policies.
