I’m Canadian in a place with a decent amount of snow and it’s cold for like six months of the year. I love summer.
I do live near a popular cottage area so the downside to summer is all the asshole cottagers who tailgate aggressively if you aren’t driving 30km/hr or more over the speed limit.
Annoying social butterflies are my favourite people. They talk at me and don’t care that I’m not listening and they introduce me to all their friends. It’s the only way I know how to make friends.
Aw I’d share with Hannah. I love hearing people be all excited about their life. I’m not much of a talker so I like just sitting there daydreaming while someone happily rambles on.
This is bullying a little girl
My mom dated someone who exclusively listened to this shit. I still feel nauseous every time I hear someone sing with that voice.
Actually no, she did not. I had thought we all pooped when we gave birth but nope. Now I’ll have to wonder forever if I pooped or not.
Nah, it was my friend’s kid. I was there to support her. I’ve been the one giving birth before and it was just a blur of screaming and pain, but from the other side it was so cool. I’m not squeamish with blood and stuff so I could just focus on the fact that an entire person just popped out of my friend. What the fuck.
It’s so cool to see. The head comes out so slowly but then once the shoulders are out, the baby just pops right out. Amazing.
It’s definitely not beautiful, but it is really fucking cool. I was there for my friend’s first baby and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
It’s not sharp. You’d need some kind of freak accident.
Cars are also the main reason I don’t like my kids being outside unsupervised. Everyone drives a goddamn tank these days.
That whole “Why do I have to learn this? I’m never going to use it!” attitude from school. Learning a new skill is the reward. I love learning new skills. It’s my hobby. I’m never going to be an expert in anything, but I get to learn a whole bunch of interesting things.
I recently picked my guitar back up for the first time in like 15 years. I still remember what I learned! Not that I was ever good, but you don’t need to be good to have fun.
Having to make their own ammunition would absolutely be way too much effort for a lot of people.
I don’t live in a particularly devout part of the world, so religion doesn’t really impact my life, and so being atheist isn’t a major part of my identity. I can see how an atheist who grew up somewhere like the US bible belt would feel differently than I do. I’ve always been annoyed by the “I’m so smart and religious people are stupid” atheists, though.
I was a “gifted program” kid with problems at home and undiagnosed adhd. I went from A’s to failing and dropping out and nobody cared. Nobody wanted to know what was wrong. All they wanted to do was punish me.
We bought my husband his own after he kept stealing mine.
I had something like that when I was pregnant and it truly was magical.
I have a basement where I swear it’s 10°C colder than upstairs.
