I have over 500 titles in my backlog of shame (loads of freebies, but still shameful). If I play a new game every week, it’ll take me 10 years to get through it.

What if some are absolute bangers and I sink 300+ hours in? I’ll never be finished!

But what if none of them are? For 10 years I’d have slogged through a quagmire of mediocrity for nothing other than to tick a series of boxes.

Also, for most of human history, if you’ve poisoned yourself ingesting something, chances are the next thing you’re ingesting is still poisoned. It’s only recently we’ve worked out distilled poison and purified water. So, biologically speaking, better to just be sick for a day so you can get to a different water/food source.

Because so much of that would put you off if you were on the receiving end.

As a human person, when a human person is on the other end, I do my best to be kind, empathetic, forgiving, and accommodating.

Maybe we need to come up with a way to deface oil company buildings that does make headlines

But why Stonehenge? Why not oil company buildings? I believe oil companies generally have buildings. Large buildings. With their names on them.

I think maybe just get rid of the bogus ones like “sleep” and “take a day off”.

Everything else you can do with a little time and effort. Most people with 30 minutes can’t opt to sleep in that time, that’d just be 30 minutes of laying down letting your brain try to make up the activity. And even fewer people can afford to say “I’m not coming in to work today”!

I’ve used tin foil to make the same repair. You can be as sloppy as you like, after it fits snuggly, you can just peel/rub off any excess.

I’m not a scientist, I don’t know one way or the other if there are “cleaner” fossil fuels. But I believe the Exxon CEO when he claims there are.

Hanlon’s Razor doesn’t apply to CEOs. It’s always 100% conscious malicious choices.

While it’s easy to believe Exxon would make up “we could have done it cleaner but it cost more than the market would bear” its much more in tune with big oil’s real strategy of “we absolutely knew about it and beyond doing nothing, we actively suppressed action about it and spent a lot of money ensuring no one else would too.”

Also, everyone loves underdog. The inverse is true. No one likes updog.

I always felt that way about Hershey chocolate! Glad to finally have confirmation that it literally tastes like I just threw up.
