Aren’t two of the major parties literally just proper up by the US? At least based on this Breakthrough News piece is my understanding. The DPP is definitely the US puppet party though given how much this Guardian article is promoting them as the best party to support.

Is there a term for the belief of, “it’s their culture to do x”? I’ve heard this argument before about other countries as a crutch to why socialism isn’t viable.

I’m tempted to say chauvinism or just plain racism but I’m not sure if it’s both, one or neither.

I’d say what happens when the UN passes a resolution on a ceasefire? Someone has to enforce it and the US is the only one isntreal will listen to.

Short of another country literally invading to enforce it, it’s very likely nothing will happen.

I would say it’s possible that they just have bad takes and improperly applied analysis. I’m always reluctant to fed-coat something without some decent evidence.

It was about 6-8 months ago but there was some problems with the survey site holding back results because they wanted payment.

You could bring it up in the matrix room and see if there’s any interest in doing a survey again in the new year. I think the main problem is finding a survey host who will give all of the results for free.

The Second Thought YouTube channel made a good video on this too, it doesn’t deep dive but it gives a good summary of why it’s bad.
