Beautiful. I’m moving up in budget a bit for my next dive watch, but I’m a huge glycine fan. Peek at my post history. Don’t sleep on having it serviced by a reputable watch repair shop if you want it to last a lifetime (assuming it’s mechanical and not a quartz model)
Linux Mint and Bit Warden are the obvious picks, But I’ve really been enjoying NetNewsWire on iOS since the decline of Reddit. RSS is a great protocol, and NNW is a very seamless experience. When I find a link to an RSS feed I want to follow, just tap and hold, share, and it auto fills an entry with everything but a title and automatically adds it to your feed. Great stuff.
Shut up and take my down vote
I don’t feel even a little bad about it.
Say stupid shit, surprise surprise, unless you’re in your cozy racist or queerphobic echo chamber with a bunch of other dudes that can’t get laid, you’re gonna get called out and shit on. This is the way. It will always be this way. Just leave. Delete your account. You will never be welcome here.
The freedom to tell idiots to get fucked is the greatest freedom of all. Sounds like someone is salty about the fact that the sewage that comes out of their mouth has social consequences.
Thanks for the thoughtful response ☺️
So, tell me about your experience with Mate and why you love it? I’m a very mildly experienced Mint Cinnamon user. I’m considering a switch to LMDE just to get away from Ubuntu base. My machine is fairly beefy, and cinnamon runs like a swiss watch for me. With performance not being a concern, am I missing out on anything by passing on Mate?
Edit: oh shit, also, pretty rice, looks soothing.
The community and how it interacts has always been the only thing that made it special. It’s like a car. You’ll remember the places you went and the people you went there with. But when the car hits 200k and becomes more expensive to fix than buy a new one, you send it to the scrap yard.
Lemmy is turning into a promising framework for community. But it’s still the community that makes it worth being here.
I just bought a couple of high end watches (come check out the watches community!) From eBay. One of them MSRPs for $2570 USD. I made a bid in the last minute of the auction and got it for $1800 delivered. Seller claims to have worn it about 10 times, and based on the condition I believe him. Since that purchase I’ve seen “buy it now” and “make an offer” listings of the same watch that are above $3000 due to its rarity.
eBay also offers professional authenticity verification of such items for $80, which is pretty inconsequential if you’re in the market for a 4-5 figure watch.
Honestly, if you’re managing to get scammed on eBay, I’m curious what kind of listings You’re bidding on, and if you’re unable or unwilling to follow their avenues for buyer protection. I’ve never once had an issue.
