You’re just making it worse better.

Blender is not CAD software though, it’s 3D modelling software. They’re not quite the same thing, and they’re intended for (and excel at) different things.
They absolutely don’t need to detect the country of their users. Simple popup asking, if you’re in an EU country, and then adapt according to the users answer.
I use the KNX integration, which must be configured using yaml
This is probably because of the devs behind the integration though and not the fault of HA.
I have my all my cards and dashboards defined through GUI as well, you van make plenty sophisticated interfaces without YAML. A lot of tutorials are probably not up to date with what you can do though and use YAML.
Most races are not against time though… They’re against other competitors. The time it takes you is pretty irrelevant, as long as the others are slower.
It’s more or less only time trials that are races against time.
None of my custom integrations are configured with YAML anymore, they’ve all moved to the GUI. Even a couple of my templates have been made directly in the GUI.
“Not a single line of YAML” is a bit hyperbole, but the only YAML I’ve got left in my setup are a handful of custom sensors, I haven’t checked if that can now be done from the GUI. It’s around 100 lines of YAML in total or something like that. But all the home automation stuff is done purely with GUI.
There has been huge improvements on what can be done from the GUI in the last few years since I started with HA.
Maybe home assistant a few years ago…I have a fully functional setup with loads of automations and haven’t written a single line of YAML for it.
Funny thing, most modern refrigerators use DC motors for their compressors so that they can run at variable speeds
No they don’t…they use AC motors and a VFD to control the speed.
Co-co-co-COMBO BREAKEERR!!!
That’s absolutely insane…why is it not a requirement to have audits performed by a third party, or the FAA themselves? This is laughably ridiculous, especially for an industry that claims to be focused on safety and quality.
Right over here…just wait on that couch there, Mr. Jensen will be here shortly with your free GPU.
Are these facilities not regularly audited by a 3rd party to maintain their ISO certifications? The stuff mentioned in the article (key card feeler gauge…WTF!?) would/should have been caught in any routine audit.
Just because I am capable of doing those things does not mean I should.
This is the crux of why so many companies, especially smaller and medium sized ones, are a hot mess. capable of << good at, but of course it’s cheaper to just get johnny to do everything.
All crowds are tough when the jokes are bad
You’re thinking of ASMR, this is related to ASML…two completely unrelated things.
US cell service plans always seem insanely priced compared to what we’re used to here in Europe. They pay a fortune for shitty plans with low data caps, it’s ridiculous.
AC also keeps the car warm you know…and yes, I tell it to keep my car at 21°C and it does just that. Its a Peugeot 308, medium trim level, that’s more than a decade old with +250k km on it, I’m not driving a nice new car at all. My wife’s VW up is exactly the same, also not new and definitely not a “nice” car.
Surprisingly cheap TBH…
What kind of shit-buckets are you people driving that requires you to turn on defrost just because it starts raining!?
I regularly drive in conditions that go from sunny to rainy, or even sunny to snow/slush…that’s pretty much all our weather is where I live. I never have to start defrost mode while driving, ever. I use defrost to defrost and remove ice from the the car before I start driving, the AC keeps everything fine without me adjusting anything no matter the change of conditions while I’m driving.
I have having major issues lately as well using the voyager app. My account on sopuli.xyz is the only one with issues, my alt on another instance works just fine.
It takes a long time to load anything, and comments in posts turn up in my inbox several days delayed.
Hoping you find the cause of this soon 👍
