Kids! I thought when I was a kid I wanted them no matter what. In my early twenties I decided I only wanted kids if I could find the right partner. Now I have one. Sometimes my partner is great, sometimes he sucks. I don’t care, because my kid is great. She’s a joy to be around and gives my life purpose in a way I didn’t realize was possible. My whole purpose is just to enjoy reading her a story in that moment. My whole purpose is to feed her when she’s hungry. My whole purpose is to look into her eyes. My whole purpose is just to enjoy the moment I’m in, and she accidentally causes me to be fully present so often. It’s amazing.

That said, I would say if you’re not 80% sure you want kids, don’t. Figure out what would get you to 80% first. Financial stability, a good partner, a solid career field, etc.

How much is a convection oven? Because my air fryer was $35 and it’s amazing. What’s the scam here? It’s much smaller and available for very cheap. Unless convention ovens are way cheaper than I think? Looks like even the cheap “countertop” ones are a couple hundred bucks. The real ones are 15 hundred easy.

My ex (though really his mom i guess) taught me you can just run a half empty dishwasher. I grew up without a lot of money, so we weren’t running the dishwasher until it was full (big family, so pretty often). But when you’re one or two people, it never fills up so I was just hand washing dishes, hating my life. They ran the dishwasher every night no matter how full or empty it was. At 9pm, the dishwasher started. It’s stupid to say it changed my life, but now I just run it whenever I want. I also run my washing machine all the time and folding half loads is so much better, I no longer hate laundry.

Yeah, I might get to the point with him where I say, " if you can’t manage your password, it’s not really safe for you to be using Facebook. There are too many bad actors who try to take advantage of people online."

Either he should have enough wit about him to remember where he has stored his password (sticky note under keyboard?) or he probably shouldn’t be sharing things online. He is going to get scammed.

If I ask what cleaner to use on marble and he says “use the all purpose cleaner” tell me that’s a guess! Because the all purpose cleaner has citric acid! That’s bad for marble!

I try to check everything, and Google anything I’m unsure of. He just does whatever feels right and then later says, “how was i supposed to know tupperware goes on the top shelf of the dishwasher? I didn’t have one growing up.” If you’ve never used an appliance before, Google it!! I’ve used a dishwasher my whole life, but when I became responsible for the one in our home, I read the manual.

Idk. My mental health has been a lot better since I blocked the words rape and torture from my feed. I know that stuff is happening. I don’t need constant details and pictures of the victims daily. A sub about the war is for that stuff. My adding uplifting things to that community would be inappropriate. It’s better for me to remove myself.

People are down voting you, but I’ve heard about a lot of inappropriate behavior at sleepovers from people close to me, boys and girls. Me and my siblings were not allowed to go to sleepovers. Nobody thought we were weird. Once my parents grew a relationship with a friend’s parents, that rule got broken once in a while. Other than that, we were allowed to invite a friend over for a sleepover if we wanted one 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m an adult now with my own child, and I’m really glad my parents protected me. I will have the same rule
