minus-square🏝Skoob🏝@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·2 months ago2, with 1 hinge. It’s like a normal phone but the screen number increased twofold.
minus-squaregedaliyah@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·2 months agoBifold means something that folds into two parts. Consider the bifold wallet or bifold door.
minus-squareinterdimensionalmeme@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 months agoHow can something fold into one part then ?
minus-squaregedaliyah@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·2 months agoI guess the same way you slice something into one piece. Bisect is one less than trisect, so what’s one less than bisect? Maybe the problem is that the phone is rectangular. I bet they could do it with a polygon with just two fewer sides. ;)
minus-square2001aCentenaryofFederation@fedia.iolinkfedilinkarrow-up9·2 months agoThe suffix “fold” in this instance refers to the number of parts, not the number of folds. As confusing as that is.
