I recently tested Warhammer III: Total War (Don’t remember the exact title), and I would consider it an objectively good game, but:
It wasn’t my kind of game, so I refunded it. I find that the Total War games for the past 10 years have involved too much repetitive drudgery on the campaign map. In my opinion, it hasn’t aged well. If you like the Total War games, this might be for you, though.
Expensive business model built around DLCs. Do you like Chaos Dwarves? Be prepared to pay extra.
As a whole I wouldn’t advice against this game, as it is beautiful and well done. But the above two points need to be taken into account.
As someone who enjoys TW style games TW:WH is absolutely excellent and a wonderful time.
While the DLCs are expensive the base game has a good chunk of content already and you don’t really need to pick up the extras to get hundreds of hours out of it. It’s very much a situation where you should only grab things as they interest you or splurge during a massive sale.
