Mallory really just fumbled the ball at the last minute. Butcher was being an actually good father for a solid minute and then had to let all hell loose after her little mishap with Ryan.
I found it somewhat jarring to the point of it being funny how Butcher’s beard just lost all white when Kessler took over. I get the intention behind it, but I’m just imagining Butcher stopping for some makeup for some Extra™ Beard Spray.
Also, damn you writers for jumping straight for the gut with Kimiko’s first words being those of denial, anger and loss. Not cool.
Grace’s little emotional breakdown moment, recalling her grandkids was great, she should have just let Ryan breathe for a second, he only asked for time think, at first…
And yeah lol, the Butcher upgrade was quite jarring XD Though it’s V, it’s pretty much magic.
That whole U-turn was a gut punch ;-;
