It’s ragebait. Ignore it. Even if it’s not, attention is what they want. Engagement feeds the algorithm. Ignore it.

Wait, is this somesort of punishment, cuz it sounds amazing.

Like, getting away from shit for a year and head into the woods, no problems, no worries, make friends, brew some beer, campfires, games.

And you want us to come back to our 9-5’s, struggling wages, and stress?

    Sounding better by the minute!

      After you.

It becomes a lot less fun when you need to see a doctor, keep getting arrested for trespassing, etc.

I saw my last doctor with lower right abdominal pain, a fever, and blood in my urine.

He gave me a list of heartburn triggers and foods to avoid.

Some American health care is on par with survival of the fittest in my books. (Hopefully it changes soon. Still finding, or rather being assigned, a new doctor.)

I’m sure not knowing if you’ll eat today, not knowing if you’ll stay dry at night is not at all stressful.

There will always be garbage, pants-on-heads stupidity on these platforms. I doubt the women saying this even believe what they are saying, it’s all to drive engagement via outrage

Transcription of their circlejerking, up to 0:30

[A] I think only men should be homeless. I don’t think, I don’t think women should be allowed to be homeless.

[B] This is where the conversation was going to.

[A] Because I honestly think that men need to toughen up, and I think if men were forced to be homeless, they would learn to be better men. Because that’s what made men manly in the past, [it] was having to build houses and stuff.

[A] So if we just made men for like a year, I think, it would fix a lot of problems in society.

[B] That would be so good, specially because we’re not, we don’t force men to do military any more like they used to. Make them homeless for a year. Let’s see how they fucking…

[A] Yeah, make them just figure it out.

Let’s entertain a tiiiiny bit their view.

The problem of society, accordingly to those two, is that men aren’t “manly enough”, right? That prescribes the fixed roles, where men should be the “strong pillars” of society, and thus the ones deciding shit… and women obey and shut up, not being expected to emit their opinions.

So, what do we have here? Two muppets emitting an opinion that, ultimately, contradicts their right to omit opinions.

If their opinion is stupid, they should shut up, and stop saying stupid shit.

But even if their opinion wasn’t stupid (it is), they should still shut up, otherwise they’re being hypocrites preaching what they don’t follow!

This would be hilarious if not sad.

I was homeless for a year and I must admit that I learned and grew so much. The freedom and detachment is cathartic. It’s like a drug, however, in that you’re likely to lose yourself if you stay in that environment for too long.

Men are in a constant competition to seem manlier than the person next to them.

Of course it’s not until later that it becomes obvious that it’s all just self esteem problems and not being comfortable with ourselves.

The ultimate manliness is realizing you don’t care if other people think you’re manly.

Maybe they should try dating a conservative. It’ll come with its own downsides but if it’s a manly man you’re after I’d say that statistically you’re probably more likely to find one at that side of the isle. I’m sure this is not at all controversial thing to say.

While I’m at it I do agree with the underlaying issue here; a great number of modern men can’t do much of the things a stereotypical man could do say 40 years ago. Being able to stand up for yourself and to build and fix things for example is something women do care about wether they admit it or not. It’s one of those things that’s not exactly fair but true nevertheless. It’s biological and they can’t help it.
