Instructions unclear, soaked in India Pale Ale and now it’s even stickier
On the plus side you have now made a Mouse IPA. Really brings out the hoppy flavour.
Taking something apart to fix it and not also cleaning it is a handiwork sin

It’s just paint. I guess if OP cared, they could sand it off and spray it with an even coat to make it pretty.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that this mouse broke because of the 3+ layers of definitely-not-paint that I can see in this pic
