They would have to be totally symbolic though. It’s unconscionable that they have as much assets as they have and the amount of money the UK government has to pay to support them.
Yeah, I guess it is hard to seperate symbolic power from actual power. So I don’t know if you could ever have a purely symbolic monarchy that can not possibly be unfairly advantaged by their position.

It does seem cruel to put people in to public eye and nation wide expectations from birth.
