Despite being nominated for numerous awards and even winning Game of the Year in 2018, the creator of God of War, David Jaffe, is not a huge fan of the new direction the series has gone in. Jaffe himself hasn’t worked on these new God of War games, but thinks that they’re not staying true to the spirit of the character and the franchise. The creator noted that if developers want to pour their life experiences into their work, they should do it with new IPs and characters.

No it doesn’t. And if you believe everything around should catered to your very needs you need to go and meet different people.

I don’t care about the back story of Super Meat Boy, or Tetris, or why Dr. Mario is the same guy as the plumber. I also enjoy RPGs with deeper stories and lore. There’s space for both.

I just want to play games, man.

Yes it does, and those are accusations you need to apply to yourself. Video games are an art form and aren’t obligated to cater to the petty feelings of willfully ignorant troglodytes like yourself.

The rest of us do care about the backstories of the games we play. The fact that you don’t is 100% a you problem.

You’re certainly not going to intimidate us into submitting to you or subverting what makes us human so you can be a base animal. The rest of the world is moving on without you. If all you want is to turn off your brain, turn on some Fox News.
