Israel recognises gay marriage officially, being gay is strictly illegal in all Arab countries. Debate me if you want but if you had to choose any street corner in the middle east to announce your coming out publicly, you’d be a moron if you tried it anywhere other than Israel.

Nope. But also not okay with genocide.

Trying to make this incredibly complex situation a one issue thing is really simple thinking.

Israel is the only country in the middle east that offers some degree of safety for people who are different. Most of the people in Israel are from other parts of the middle east where they were actively hunted for being not Arab. Despite this there are plenty of Arabs living in Israel who are not persecuted for being Arab. The reason Gaza doesn’t have a Jewish population is because it became unsafe for Jews to live there. Despite this, Israel kept supplying fuel, food and water until recently.

      So who’s committing genocide?

Anyone who supports Israel in the current conflict is okay with people being executed for … checking my notes here … uh, hang on, this can’t be right … um, being born in Palestine? Oof, that seems bad.

Yeah - it’s undoubtedly a good thing that Israel doesn’t execute people for being gay.

Since with the way they do things, they wouldn’t just execute gay people. They’d execute anyone who happens to live anywhere in the vicinity of a gay person. And then blame it on the gay person.

    And you’d defend them.

Mate, I have absolutely no stake in this war at all. It’s just my unbiased observation. But if someone I cared about was killed, I would loose my shit too. Anyone who says they wouldn’t retaliate clearly doesn’t have children.

You sound like someone with no moral compass. “Majority of Arabs wants us death, so let all Arabs die” - that’s your statement.

There’s no reason to argue with you because you’re not one to be reasoned with.

You’re just laughable in my opinion, not that my opinion matters to you. I suppose.

Good luck with your bait post though!

Hamas is the official elected government of Gaza.

Hamas invaded Israel and committed horrific war crimes.

Hamas now claims that they are being victimised and just want to be left to their own business.

Israel could easily flatten both the Gaza Strip and the west bank if they choose to do so. Why is it that they’ve only been loosing their shit when their own children are murdered in cold blood?

They have chosen to do so. Satellite imagery shows that more than 50% of all structures in Gaza are damaged or destroyed. At least 15000 civilians have been killed. An unknown number are wounded, or buried under the rubble. It is a clear end phase of the ongoing ethnic cleansing that has been settled policy in Israel for decades.

Hamas lacks the resources to enact such rapid cleansing on the Jewish population as they don’t have any serious military that can face off against the IDF, even without unrestricted US aid. If they did have those resources I have no doubt they would choose to do exactly what the IDF is currently doing, possibly using various settler attacks on Palestinians as justification.

Israel is committing genocide, Hamas would like to commit genocide. Stop picking teams when both teams are filling the scoreboard with atrocities. The people who deserve amplification are the Israeli and Palestinian civilians threatened by the activities of the military factions on both sides.

From a purely materialistic pov, it’s a decision regarding the quantity vs the quality of benefits.
Because that’s what it’s all about at the global level, benefits. It’s about exploiting a situation as best one can to reap either the most or the best benefits possible.

What a false dichotomy. No one likes Hamas. That doesn’t meant the people living in Gaza are responsible for what Hamas does. Are you responsible for all the shit your government does? If someone, on behalf of the state in the country where you live, where to commit a human right’s violation, should we also bomb your house then?

This is the most ridiculously western take…

I’m bi trans and Arab and I stand with Palestine against the Israeli genocide and against Hamas’ Islamist terrorism.

The entire Arab world sucks to be queer in (literally why I emigrated), but that’s not what any of this is about?

Also I know you might find this hard to believe but LGBT Palestinians exist.

If you want to know which country to not support, look at how they treat the most vulnerable in society. I could have gone with female, Christian, atheist, African, or any other minority.

So what you’re claiming is that the only populations in the world that can be supported are those who are pro-LGBT?

The plight of Tibetans and Uighurs, gotta ignore those. The horrific conditions of the people of North Korea that their government is continually subjecting them to, who cares about that, right?
