minus-squareNateNate60@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·1 year agohttps://kubuntu.org/news/flatpaks-and-kubuntu/ It is no longer installed by default, in other words, exactly the same as the other Ubuntu flavours
minus-squareAvid Amoeba@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoYup. It’s bullshit. They just don’t include Flatpak in the default OS from the installation media.
minus-squareJumuta@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up14·1 year agodo you mean Kde neon? pretty sure kubuntu has snaps
minus-squareFlaky@iusearchlinux.fyilinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up10arrow-down1·1 year agoPop!_OS is based on Ubuntu and also strips Snaps for Flatpaks AFAIK
minus-squareAdmiral Patrick@dubvee.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up13·1 year agoYeah, it does, but if you try to install packages from apt, it still uses some Ubuntu repos and will try to sneak snaps and snapd in on you. All Ubuntu had to do was NOT push snaps through apt and I’d probably be fine with them.
