      Freedom and democracy are only dead if you stop fighting for it. Keep voting. Keep protecting your privacy as best you can. Do everything you can to speak out against bullshit like this.

        The only ‘democracy’ in the US is a democracy between corporate interests and property owners, in the model of Athenian democracy where only non-slaves had political influence.

    It would be nice if congress passed some stricter consumer privacy protection laws, but they’ll probably just try to ban encryption instead.

    Don’t rely on corporations to protect your privacy. Ever. Use freeware and open-source software to protect it yourself.
