Dude. People. Listen to me:
That whole album was GREAT, beginning to end. It’s seriously so good. People slept on it and only ever heard Story of A Girl. Go listen to the first song and see if it isn’t great or the third song (If I Am). It’s all so catchy, tight, and optimistic/refreshing. Great harmonies. I never get a chance to talk about it, so thank you for coming to my lecture.
I like your enthusiasm. Your description reminded me ever so slightly of Patrick Batemans diatribe on Huey Lewis and the news (from American Psycho)
That’s all.
Oh dear. Thank you?
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs, I absolutely love her
When she smiled
Then everyone died. The end.
Please don’t drown the whole world again, Jesus.
Anyway, here’s Wonderwall
Don’t forget the capo on 2nd fret for heaven’s sake.
You sneaky bugger. Now that song’s going to be stuck in my head on repeat all night!
proceeds to start playing sweet child of mine
Can’t you see he’s the man, let me hear you applaud, he is more than a man, he’s a shiny golden God.
If you think it’s time to fucking rock and fucking roll out of control
Nice! I’m a Telecaster man as well! Me and Jesus.
He said nay, this was not the sweet soul fulfilling harmony of cherubim, but only admiration of it’s greatness. He proclaimed unto them that he couldn’t remember the greatest psalm in the world, that his words then and there was but a tribute.
“You radiate cold shafts of broken glass”
