Used to be in awe, terror, and confusion at how genocides in history were allowed to happen.

Now I just look at it with awe and terror. Americans’ responses have cured my confusion. This is how it happened. Eat up state department lines. If not that, just ignore it outright. It’s not happening to us and we can’t do anything about it, right? The world just works the way it works and we totally couldn’t have been organizing against this for the last 100 years. Anyways, here’s a cool fucking shoe model I found. Look at this recipe! “Oh the world is so messy. Time to get back to work!”

How a group of people can be so stupid, how they can apply such racist double standards, how they can be so fucking silent and cowardly. You live in the most violent and powerful empire to ever exist. Is there no drive to make things better? Are we that jaded? I swear to God the average American can’t see anything but what’s 10 feet and 10 minutes in front of them. If THEIR child isn’t being blown up or genocided it’s not on the front of their mind.

“Civilized” society my fucking ass. Bunch of barbarians. I hope the pictures and memories of the Palestinian people haunt their memories forever when the rest come around to realize what’s really going on. I hope they know exactly where they would’ve been during past historical events: silently on the side of the oppressor.

I have never felt this disgusted with the world and my “fellow USians” (as if I even want to identify as one anymore). This is fucking pathetic.

Don’t want to be “poor me I’m so disgusted” because there’s obviously real things happening to real people. Just voicing this to an audience who actually gets it.

Turns out the process of fascism isn’t some mystifying thing like we are taught in schools about Nazi Germany, its literally the lives we’ve lead in the west. The call was coming from inside the house!

Also speaks to the power of class conflict as the supreme driver of social constructs. Trying to explain it away as “people bad” only goes so far. I know people don’t really want to hurt others like this. Its entirely the system created by the bourgeoisie. At least we know we have the tools in Marxism!

Precisely. Always was taught it was like having a soldier behind my back at all times and mustache man personally taking my things. Turns out it’s what you said…

You’re right. But this shit is speeding up so fast, and I don’t know if we have enough support in the US. Again not to be woe is me but I feel so fucking bad for who I am where I’m living what I associate with and how my country and the world is treating these people

Always have felt that way but it’s just real clear now

Hey no one choses the location, family or culture we’re born into. Give yourself a break. The system is rotten to the bone now and we’re heading straight to a full societal collapse. Especially in the western world. Just live your life and preserve that humanity inside of you while the rest are becoming beasts.

I don’t either. I’m here pacing, thinking what I can do at home (Midwest US) to change this. Obviously the root is capitalism and the imperial core, so taking this shit down will be a major step. But that won’t happen in time to save this situation and I’m just so not here for it.

Seeing crocodile tears from liberals is the worst, too.

The worst part to me (and this isn’t an original opinion, I’m sure everyone here feels it) is that the people calling this the New Holocaust or whatever are never the same people who were calling out Israel for being a War Crime-oriented Apartheid State. It’s complete silence for the killings in 2014, complete silence for the Al Aqsa Mosque Raid, but when these people living under oppression and bearing witness to their own children being murdered and put in cages finally fight back, that’s when these liberals take issue. Not to mention the many Israelis killed BY ISRAEL in their efforts to kill off Hamas in crowded areas. Sickening

Yes, great point. I’ve almost come to the conclusion that this is no longer naiveté, just blatant apathy and racism. Maybe I’m late to the party on that.

People like Soghomon Tehlirian and the Italian communist resistance have taught me that oppressors cannot bask safely in their glory forever.

The Zionist ruling class will pay for its crimes against the Palestinians and for the shame that its brought upon the Jewish people.

It absolutely will. Maybe not tomorrow, or the next month, or year. But the day will come. If not in this world, there will be some suffering set up for them after (hopefully. Just can’t imagine a universe that let’s them off the hook in the same way a genocide victim would be)

BRO I feel exactly the same! This horror is unraveling right in front of our eyes while people in their ignorance are simply siding with the oppressors… I’ve been so frustrated lately with the sheer stupidy of people. Yet I don’t wanna stop debating with them, cuz I feel like it’s our job to try our best to correct and educate those ppl to at least show them that there’s other ways of thinking out there - beyond the propaganda. But I swear, some ppl’s takes have been permanently scarring to listen to, and I’ve been so upset about my lib friends who cannot help themselves but say stupid shit QwQ

Thank you for sharing, fr… This world is sick, but I’m at least glad to know what the antidote is and to have my comrades with whom I will fight for that antidote as long as need be. It’s not much but it fills me with hope.

Exactly. Always wondered who’d be what in a scenario like a Rwanda. Turns out we know now, unfortunately. Totally agree that it’s our job to never stop trying to educate. That one Sankara quote comes to mind.

Literally this is stupid but I was playing Overwatch (I know sue me) today and this guy literally was dropping like genocidal rhetoric. “They shouldn’t have killed 40 babies if they didn’t want to be genocided. Fuck Palestine” in the chat.

Probably a troll. But maybe not. I’ve seen real people say shit like that and I’m just so upset

In a fucked up way, I’m so jacked up from this. I need to do more. More. More. I genuinely am going to dedicate much of my life to this. I’m only university aged. Think about what we could do if thousands of us did that

I felt extremely disgusted in the days and weeks, then months and years, then decades after 9/11. That day did change everything for me. That was when I realized the country I thought I lived in wasn’t even remotely close to what I thought it was, and even worse, most people didn’t seem to notice nor care.

Over that timespan I’ve realized most of what I was taught in my life was a lie and it was done to perpetrate the very shit we see happening now. It’s maddening to know that so many people just blindly follow along to whatever the state media says.

I’m glad I at least got to live through 9/11 so I don’t have to combat bourgeois media trying to tell me it was something its not. I always try and tell people who are too young to know or remember that it was a bunch of bullshit lol

There’s plenty of accounts to demonstrate that.

Many people who did not live through it got varying degrees of BS about it on its anniversaries in schools. All this drama and yet nothing for COVID deaths.

You don’t need to have lived through it to get the right conclusion.

It is absolutely maddening as you said. Such a successful propaganda campaign that those who aren’t insane feel crazy…

If you don’t accept the mass killing of a people in the name of… whatever their arguments are, you’re a crazy tankie who wants to see civilians killed.

What I’ve started to realize is most Americans never really cared about genocide, war crimes, so on. They don’t really care about it now. I should have known, but I guess I had to see it to believe it. I feel you my friend, I feel like I’m going insane.

I guess I’m late to the party realizing that. So much virtue signaling from liberals really got me. But when the time actually comes, this is how they react.

We’re not insane. Remember that. I have to remind myself every day. It’s no sign of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
