Japan said on Tuesday it will start releasing more than 1 million metric tonnes of treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant on Aug. 24, putting into motion a plan that has drawn strong criticism from China.
There are explanations after explanations given by professionals and officials. The only problem is that these very explanations are ignored by the media and activists.
I guess it’s easy for them to complain forever. They can forever say it’s not enough, and that appeals to the ignorants.
In the same manner, Japanese media fail women by fearmongering on cancer vaccines. It’s very much like the US right wing media echo-chamber the Clintons and Hunter Biden.
Yeah, that’s why Japan is saying they’ll support the fishermen even if it’s takes decades to recover from this, right? I mean, it could be. If they expect nothing to happen, then that’s the cheapest method of taking care of them…
This is such a weird nothingburger. Not very radioactive water released in a massive ocean. Will have no effect on anything.
Years and years of fear mongering without any decent explanation on why it’s not that big of a deal.
Can we stop that BS finally?

I meant explanation by the mainstream media to the general public, it is severely lacking and it’s probably on purpose.
Oh, yes, sorry.

Huh that’s interesting… do you have examples of the Japanese media doing that? I’ve never heard that before.
Thanks for asking. The problem is so severe there’s a scholarly article on that:
