Taiwan’s foreign minister said last week that the US and Taiwan are in talks on the possibility of the island being brought under Washington’s nuclear umbrella, a step that would make a catastrophic war between the US and China much more likely.

There’s zero need for a mutually assured destruction policy because China has zero interest in destroying it’s own province. It would be like putting nukes in Texas to protect itself from DC. Okay bad example, as USians do hold weird views like that. But in more rational parts of the world, people think differently.

People in China see Taiwan as part of China; they don’t generally hold fantasies of invading for the sake of it. A smaller proportion of, though still many, people in Taiwan also see themselves as part of China. Neither populace generally wants to be fighting the other. It’s only the US who want to see a fight break out, and a few people gullible enough to think the US is offering support for the sake of Taiwan itself.

Taiwan is already self governed, except to the extent that the US meddles in that governance. It’ll be a tragedy if the parties involved allow the US to do to Taiwan what it did in Kosovo and Ukraine.

The US doesn’t want fighting to break out between Taiwan and China either. That’s just part of this narrative that’s taken hold (with much encouragement by China) of the US as just warmongers. The truth is that the US currently is trying to avert an invasion. That’s being achieved by a number of measures:

      • Arm Taiwan to make it an unappealing target
      • Build up ability and forces in the region so that China knows it cannot easily defeat Taiwan
      • Build a network of allies
      • Make it clear to Taiwan that if Taiwan tries to officially declare independence, it’s on its own, acknowledging that that is a red line for China.

      Kosovo

Respond to war crimes and ethnic cleansing? NATO’s execution was off, but some “meddling” was needed.

      Ukraine

God forbid the US and Europe respond to an invasion of conquest on their front door.

The US doesn’t want fighting to break out between Taiwan and China either.

US is literally the only reason any fighting could ever break out between the secessionist government in Taiwan that US is cultivating and the rest of China. There literally wouldn’t be a problem if not for your despotic regime.

Respond to war crimes and ethnic cleansing? NATO’s execution was off, but some “meddling” was needed.

This is the claim that NATO based the intervention on and it has been disproven. Stop spreading misinformation.

God forbid the US and Europe respond to an invasion of conquest on their front door.

        Imagine genuinely believing that.

Typical fascism trick is to flip reality and sell it to masses in order to attempt rage baiting a conflict to destroy peace. Ukraine and Taiwan with US puppet regimes are on Russia’s and China’s footsteps respectively.

I know creatures like you that valiantly defend NATO as a defensive organisation. Anglo regime days are numbered, and there will be no return ever again. Disconnect your internet if you want to have any hope.

          fascism

Save that word for when it’s accurate. You’re using it so much that it becomes threadbare for when the real fascists pop up. Don’t cry wolf.

Ukraine and Taiwan with US puppet regimes are on Russia’s and China’s footsteps respectively.

There are other NATO countries on Russia’s border. They have not invaded Russia. Ukraine only very recently started supporting anti-regime elements, and even that is highly limited compared to Russia’s invasion and extensive bombing of Ukraine.

As for Taiwan, regardless of what fantasy world Taiwan’s constitution lives in, ROC has no chance of returning to rule over China. They are no threat.

God forbid Russia respond to an hostile takeovers of countries on their front door.

Bruh, NATO country was attacked just one time, and that one time NATO didn’t get involved even. It’s purely aggressive alliance.
