How many disks did this come on, haha? Like 40?
Also zeppo@sh.itjust.works. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

So, someone who doesn’t know about Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Atlanta, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Texas, Boston, New Orleans or Seattle. Alright. If you add those up they’re about the population of the UK.
Wouldn’t his feet still hurt? Seems like it would be like stepping on legos and matchbox cars.
Definitely should not have watched Beverly Hills Cop. The nonstop swearing and stupid ‘banana in the tailpipe’ type pranks were not good influences.
Campaigns don’t tend to be self-funded.
“Stop the war with Russia” by turning it over to them. “Everyone in Ukraine could just shoot tjemselves in the head, rape each other and Russia would be appeased”. Pathetic.
Looks so much like it’s made out of glass.
I’m not even sure what the article said, I just liked the idea of a literal cannabis pie.
Spreading out the licenses for growing and selling fairly has been a problem in many states, though. States like Oregon have suffered from oversupply on the growing side, making it especially hard for smaller growers to make a profit and survive. In Colorado the market has come to be dominated by large chains, including many from out of state. In some other states the government has handed virtual monopolies to cronies.
The delays tend to be unnecessary and I think much of it is caused by wishy-washy legislators who never wanted it to be legal in the first place, so they invent obstacles. Even states like Colorado are still dragging their heels on related issues like event licenses - the law passed said the state was supposed to regulate it ‘like alcohol’, so why can’t you get a license to serve it at a wedding, 10 years later?
Why do they make it sound like Jack Smith himself is attempting to do that?
He doesn’t need money for advertising that much since news outlets have been entirely unable to shut the fuck up about him and stop amplifying his messages for years. Hundreds of millions of free advertising in 2016 and they’re doing the same thing now.
My father has been using computers for 50 years and hasn’t seemed to really learn anything. His work had one of the first personal conouters, an Altair, and we had C64s and early DOS machines when I was a kid. He could do excel, word, general word processing, had spreadsheets back in the early days of Lotus… at this point he gets confused and frustrated by like, the CVS website. Doesn’t ask for help though, just keeps doing his knows what and getting angry about it, then when I try to help (like, “oh, your credit card number is entered wrong”) he just gets angry and says “this is a SIMPLE THING! I DONT NEED HELP!” Like, okay, you’ve been overlooking this error message on a website and acting pissed for 15 minutes, but whatever.
history | grep <word> and ! would blow his mind.
That was something I got tired of saying, about error messages, “what do the words on the screen say?”
When using computers became more mainstream in the late 90s I thought “phew, finally people will learn to use them and not act like it’s some arcane and nerdy thing they couldn’t possibly understand! They’ll have to figure it out for work and the average person will finally understand the basics like file system hierarchies, right click menus, switching between windows and…” nope. We entered the period of “monthly_report.pdf.exe” instead and then, mobile phones which have enabled people to use computers without learning anything about how they work at all.
Glad you’re alright! I’m lucky to have driven for years and never done harmed anyone in a collision. If the person’s insurance goes up, well, there’s a reason they do that.
I was lightly struck by a guy at a crosswalk in a busy commercial district… walking on the sidewalk, saw this car apparently coming to a stop and walked out into the crosswalk, but he went a little far. He barely tapped me and I sort of fell o to his hood. It was this old black dude. Not much to say so I just waved and kept going.
I haven’t checked out the BIOS yet. The weird thing is it’s inconsistent… sometimes it sleeps perfectly, other times wakes immediately after shutting down. Just tested it now for instance and sort of like “hey mechanic my car makes this weird noise… oh uh, it’s not doing it now” it slept normally so there wasn’t anything to observe.
Cool, I’ll try that!
Really big trend that year for Republicans to decide they can just ignore subpoenas. Meanwhile, these days Gym of Ohio, who ignored a subpoena in 2022, is threatening Fani Willis for not responding to subpoenas quickly enough.
Pretty cool other than the part that sorta looks like teeth.
