Why do you think Harlan Crow gave money to Cornell West?
Why do you think Harlan Crow gave money to Cornell West?
This guy is not serious, and should be ignored. He’s only on the ballot in 15 states. Among other flaws, like taking money from Harlan Crow.
By August, the campaign reported being $17,000 in debt. The campaign was aided by Republican-aligned groups, donors, and lawyers, to get on the ballot in several states including Michigan,[56] Georgia,[57] Virginia, Nebraska, Maine, North Carolina,[58] Arizona[59] and Wisconsin.[59][60] Although West stopped actively campaigning, registered Republicans have signed up to be electors for West in swing states.[11] His campaign had only spent $2,400 on signature gathering between January and June of 2024.

More fuel for the hate fire incoming.
What is the mainstream media?
Another great example was CNN and their relationship with weapons manufacturers in the 90s.
I just get kind of triggered whenever any media in today’s fractured media landscape uses “Main Stream Media” especially in a headline as loaded as this.
I’m also playing ff7, but the original for PC heavily modded. I’m also hunting for chokabo, and I hate it.
I deleted that because it was poorly worded, and not well thought out.
I’m basically wondering whether a swing state is more likely to have third-party candidates on the ballot. Anecdotally it seems to me the third party candidates are attracted to the swing States.

Completely forgot the zipper. At the time I followed truefactsstated (it might be one less s) on the platform that was purchased by a child. I remember that guy on Reddit though.
Hey I remember these asshats, they are the idiots who accused Mueller of sexual assault, and gave it a specific date, but forgot to check what Mueller was doing that day.
When questioned about a Washington Post account of Mueller at jury duty in D.C. on the date of the alleged incident in New York, Wohl accused the paper of reporting the story to discredit the woman.
You should really find another source. That one has porn popups and worse.
I remember arguing with OP on his first day here saying he was arguing in bad faith. Its funny because at the time OP was a stein fan, even started the green party here on lemmy (https://lemmy.world/c/GreenParty). And a few dozen other, lets say interesting communities.
But times they are a changing, just like their username has changed. Now their all in on … Rachele Fruit? Thats right, not Claudia De La Cruz, not Jill Stein, and not Cornell West.
OP I have one big question for you in reference to this post. Where the F did you find this horrible ‘news’ source. It was registered in July of this year. Their ‘local’ coverage is worldwide. They love the word DUOPOLY. To top it off I’ve found NO other source for De la Cruz being on the ballot in Tennessee.
Should I take someone serious who made 100’s of posts and 1000’s of comments in favor of one third party candidate, only to swap to a completely different one less than a month later?
Trump’s 1st impeachment seems so quaint and distant. Its been a wild few years.
This will always stand out to me, in 2016 Trump Directs RNC to soften position on Ukraine support
This article is full of gems, this is one of my favorites.
The next day, with the deadline to qualify for the Arizona ballot just hours away, Brett Johnson, a prominent Republican lawyer, and Amanda Reeve, a former GOP state lawmaker, made house visits to each as they tried to persuade both to sign new paperwork to serve as West electors.
Johnson and Reeve work for Snell & Wilmer, which has done $257,000 worth of business for the Republican National Committee over the past two years, campaign finance disclosures show.
Hamrick declined to comment on the role of Johnson and Reeve. They did not respond to requests for comment.

Is “clearing debts with crypto” ≈" buying stuff with crypto"?
“Emails from elections officials, obtained through a request under North Carolina’s Public Records Law, show the pro-West Justice for All Party authorized three people to pick up and drop off signatures for them statewide — and all three are current or past employees of a Colorado-based Republican political firm called Blitz Canvassing.”
3rd parties gotta start somewhere other than president. Dudes on the ballot in 13 states MAYBE 14 by election time.

The above guy donated to West, when that information became public West claimed ignorance and gave the money back. EVEN if West is on the up and up in this situation I want to point out… Cornel West being on the presidential ballot is in Harlan Crows financial interests
I know this response is way too late, but I remembered the term that mattered. CNN effect. If you look it up you’ll see a lot of old articles about what a 24-hour News Network did to basically change the way people absorbed information and how that changed perceptions.
