  • I dont beleive Harris giving Israel a free hand and all the weapons they need to exterminate and starve vs trump giving Israel a similar free hand is a meaningful distinction. Neither do ethnic Arab voters in swing states.

Its inevitable that AIPAC bribes will never change.. Why would they? They will be funding every American election going forward on both sides of the aisle, especially when they are using our own foriegn aid money to bribe us with. This guarantees that the future of American politics will be hand picked candidates from AIPAC, always with truly awful vs slightly less awful, but with everyone supporting whatever Israel wants.

I say NO to that. You should too. Your “harm reduction” is a manipulation to get you to vote for genocide and has been set up by the Israelis to continue their control-by-bribery of America, forever.

You need to take yourself off that crazy train. No one can do it for you. Can you at least ponder it?

  • This one is oddly specific. So if Harris doesn’t exactly and precisely have that one specific view, then she would be a sock puppet no matter how far apart her beliefs are from Bidens?

Oddly? you say? The Leahy laws are specific. Have you heard of those? And you ship weapons or you dont. You see nuance there huh. Thats telling. Harris has committed to being “concerned about” food aid and thats it. Otherwise she has followed the Hasbarah playbook to a T. I keep seeing people hopeful she will chart a different couse, when she has explicitely stated she will continue the curret course. I think people are filled with Hopium about her pruposefully vague sentiments. She has simultaneously parroted the typical Hasbara script, stating that all of this started on Oct 7, that Israel wants its hostages back, and that Israelis have a “right to defend themselves”. She has also talked down to student protestors. She’s accepted AIPAC donations.

You quoted me a link from a tiny Israeli site that has a yellow war ribbon in their logo.
“Israelhayam” a far right low factual reporting website. That one of your favorites? I see on their front page its all war salivating israeli audience stuff. You Israeli? https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/israel-hayom/

So you’re pushing Israeli propoganda. In their article they talk about a threat to pause shipments in May, in an article published in September. A single threat to pause that wasnt actually carried out, was it. Biden pretends to push back but he never has actually pulled the trigger on any actual pushback. And a pause – essentially a delay in shipping, Same as your amazon package getting delayed. Even if it was true and not made up, its is a meangless performative gesture at best. Biden has used exactly zero of his levers to move toward peace, and 100 percent of his levers to encourage the expansion and impunity of a bloodthirsty genocide and ethnic cleansing.

And Harris has indicated that she will continue on the same course he has charted.

  • Centrists abandoned virtue when they supported a genocider for some perceived tactical advantage-- whether you’re voting trump or Harris. They should be doing that with their eyes open and acknowledge that cost. Arab voters arent supporting a genocider when they vote third party or uncommitted.

You want to claim that any vote besides Harris is a vote for Trump. I supoose if people want to ignore a gencoide (like you probably do) they might as well ignore any respect for the concept of democracy and representation as well (like you probably do). Centrists are running out of things to sell out on, and running out of supporters to win the election-- and its not a coincidence that selling out and supporting a genocide will coincide with losing.

Arabs didnt leave the democratic party, the party left them. For some AIPAC donations.

  • Well, I imagine theres a continuum of experiences and definition differences across the industry. Similar to how “product manager” is different at each place. What I saw back in the early 2000s or so was that the SRE and the word “engineer” in general used to be handed out sparingly. An “SRE” was a sysad/devops who had the ability to commit code to fix a product instead of just opening a bug and waking an engineer. An “engineer” committed compiled code, not short scripts. But then eveyone and their cousin became “sre” whether they deserved it or not, and everyone got an “engineer” title. I’ve seen manual QA folks who were unironically called “engineers”. QA is dead now and QE is barely hanging on, and SRE seems to be dying too. Not sure whats next, maybe just overpriced cloud gui tools and thats the end of it. And SRE can go be high school comp sci teachers. And SWE can wake up and fix their own bugs and hate their lives.
