Scariest visual novel i ever played was about kids having their privacy personally violated (that is, not generic analytic data, but someone knowing that kid specifically was doing so and so) and just not caring about it.

I got a friend who likes awakening more and i literally cannot understand why. Ascension is just so much better on every level, the magic system itself is unbelievably better just for acknowledging the rest of the character sheet exists.

I played it once, it wasn’t very good imo. On top of those other issues the game just didn’t feel good to play.

Just finished the main story of Cassette Beasts, a comfy tactical monster taming RPG that doesn’t infantilize you or try to be Pokemon (or make a big point about not being Pokemon). It’s easily one of the best games I’ve played this year. Now that I’ve beaten it though i might try to beat the last few slugcats in rainworld or tackle terraria again.

If that’s an open offer I’ve been wanting to learn Japanese myself and would love a bit of input on getting started

You are completely correct about the armor system being bad, really sandbags the game. It’s Audi exacerbated by the number bloat.

Moonstone seems pretty fun from the little I’ve played. I normally hate the card game trend taking over games these days, but everything else is not than good enough to make up for it

They called it an adventure sim, but that really doesn’t look right.

it’s about damn time this kinda setting gets a bit of love, ocean punk is badass and dead in the water. Definitely interested in this one at some point.
