We are getting downvoted for posting images, no matter if its wrong or right, and here its not only fans, its lemmnynsfw.com, we are supposed to follow the rules and use its controls right! Why we should leave and not you? We at least upload content and we upvote each other, report the ones that dont fit, still other users downvote every post they see, cause they dont like it!

Why not do something similar to fet life, where they promote in the very right side, but we will promote with posts, 1-2 posts per page with an ad, in worst case scenario. Regarding downvotes, I want to mention the incident, where I posted SFW in my community and got downvoted, and then some users went over !womenwithwatches@feddit.de and downvoted couple posts!

Downvote should be used to bury things that dont fit in a community, until the report takes place! If you use it to downvote every post you dont like, its pointless!

Downvotes should be reserved for things like spam, links that lead to malware, posts that are off-topic, etc. Things that mods would normally remove.

Because you don’t nlike something, that does not mean others want like it, the more you downvote, the more down it goes, so people who like the content won’t see it.

It’s a NSFW instance, people expect to see mainly NSFW, if you don’t like something, block the community that it came from, you don’t have to downvote every post , day after day. I learned the hard way, that SFW posts in the community that I made, are big NO, so I stopped posting SFW.

It’s a big community and people should be free to d upvote and downvote, but there are users who only downvote ! Which is not the only use of the downvote.
