I just found out about Connect today and have been loving it.
I’ve been a paid Sync user for more years than I know, and am so glad they’re coming over to Lemmy. However, in the meantime, Connect is pretty great for basic posting/reading needs.
Reddit does Ghostbusters Tokyo Drift
lmao I didn’t even see the typo until now. I was tempted to leave it.
Forgot all about that. Thanks! This should probably be pinned everywhere.
Someone can probably explain the Fediverse far better than I could. Simple explanation though is that any instance you’re on you can see things from others as well.

Either link will work if you’re on lemmy.world. If not, use the https one. Welcome!
I’ve paid for Sync (I forget how many) years ago and have loved it since. I’m so happy you all are switching over and building a app for Lemmy.
Thanks for y’all you do!
This is hilarious. Thanks for this.
I have zero experience running any sort of moderation and fairly little time to do it myself. If anyone can help out it would be more than appreciated.

I cross posted this into the News instance when it happened and posted there, but I have a huge amount of respect for him so I’ll double up.
In my 30s, I came across Cormac’s writing and was immediately drawn to his style. The Road, in particular, resonated with me after just having my son. Someone recommended it to me, and it just so happened to be shortly after my son was born, and I think it had a significant impact on the way I parent and interact with my children. He’s definitely one of my favorite authors and definitely definitely had an impact on my life. https://lemmy.world/comment/163480
Thanks for everything Mr. McCarthy.
Do you mean that it helped you cope with the flipside of joy and fear that comes with having a child?
You hit the nail on the head. Along with self sacrifice and making difficult decisions for the well-being of a child, The Road brings these topics to the forefront.
And thanks for the heads up! I’ve been really into PKD lately, but after hearing this news, I might need to work my way back through McCarthy.
I haven’t heard of LitCharts before, but I might have to give it a try. I tried reading Gravity’s Rainbow and basically gave up. This might’ve saved me.

I’ve had Blood Meridian on my Kindle for a while now, but haven’t had the chance to read it yet. After hearing this news, I think I’ll make it my next read.
Either way, you will be missed and thank you for staying with it even when you were destitute.
Well. Said.
Too many syllables for them
I’m working on someone else’s code right now and when I think I fixed one thing I break three more. I’m at the point where I just want to build this thing from scratch.
I don’t know which one is gonna be more effort.
we don’t call it ping pong. we call it stroll mode
I like it like this, but I’ve always been a minimalist. With a few QoL changes/fixes (especially for the mobile app) this will be perfect.
Exactly. These people ruined the country with opioids. They aggressively marketed and distributed these highly addictive drugs, leading to a nationwide epidemic.
Their greed for profits caused immense harm to countless families and communities. It’s a shameful chapter in our history that must be acknowledged and addressed, but of course - it’s just another day of business as usual.
I haven’t finished the game yet, but Journey’s OST is simply amazing.
Finally someone else that uses Soulseek. It’s been around for years and is the best place to download whole albums or discographies in high quality.
