I can do that.
I can do that.
I suppose when muted, posts from lemmy.ml would not appear in my feed. Same thing when blocked. The only difference will be the visibility of lemmy.ml itself, its posts, and communities. If muted, I could still access them, and when blocked, they would not exist for me. Am I right?
Yes!
What about comments and private messages? From my experience, when muted, they are still visible , but when blocked, what happens?
I can only explain the behavior of muting because is the one I developed for Boost. Muting only affects posts in a feed. If you mute an user, you won’t see posts from that user in your feed. It doesn’t affect comments or messages.
Muting is a Boost feature. It won’t show posts from those communities in your feed
Blocking is a Lemmy feature. You won’t see blocked communities or posts from those communities.
Fixed in new beta version 1.0.14
I’ll fix that, thanks for reporting
I’ll add that
By default the app loads low resolution thumbnails when using mobile data, and higher resolution on wifi. To always load high resolution thumbnails, disable data saver options on “Settings-Data and storage”
I am updating the app to support new lemmy features now that I have more time :)
The parameters being used changed with some recent Lemmy version. Fixed for the next version!
Right now I am finishing the “hide post” feature
That setting from Lemmy is not implemented in the app yet.
The app only hides read posts that are loaded on the screen. After pressing hide read, Boost load the next page of posts that might contain read posts too.
If you don’t want to see read posts, disable “Show read posts” in your account preferences
Stupid question just to make sure, are you using Boost 1.0.12?
Every other instance besides lemmynsfw kicks me off my app
When an instance migrates from Lemmy 0.18 to the new version 0.19 invalidates all users credentials and requires login again. Lemmynsfw is still in 0.18.
This is planned 👍
Planned for the future 🫰
Exactly, Lemmy 0.19 doesn’t return the karma, it has been removed
Kill and restart the app completely and it should show up
This has been fixed in version 1.0.12, you should be able to set duration in days
Your instance (lemmy.world) is not using Lemmy 0.19.4 yet
