You’re doin’ great, keep it up!
You’re doin’ great, keep it up!
Kind of like how 3M covered up that their forever chemicals have found their way into every living thing on the planet. You, me, your kids and loved ones, your pets…everything…has their forever chemicals. They bind to proteins in our blood causing a wide range of ailments (Cancer, immunodeficiency, obesity, and more).
And they knew the whole time. Continued to do it all for the greed.
So, yeah, it doesn’t surprise me that oil companies will destroy the planet in a blind greed, a lust, for profits.

What sources are you citing there?
The World Health Organization and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS have stated that male circumcision reduces men’s risk of acquiring HIV through sex with women by approximately 60%. In East and Southern Africa, voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) has been a WHO-recommended HIV combination prevention intervention since 2007
which is apparently an expired policy and has not been reaffirmed
The above WHO/UNAIDS report is from late 2023.
UTI rates can be lowered by teaching parents to properly wash their children.
Not sure if you’re uncircumcised and/or have children who aren’t and are speaking from experience, but the couple of friends I have that are not all spoke of difficulties maintaining cleanliness, even when showering daily and pulling the skin back to clean thoroughly. My point being it’s not typically the parents at fault here.
For HIV, they mention female to male transmission which is something that is extremely rare in the US.
Says who? Maybe relatively rare, but “extremely”?
Without a single source cited in your comment, it sounds more like virtue signaling. I’m not trying to be combative but I think some folks get caught up in an article like the OP link and wrongfully attribute it to vaguely related topics like male circumcision. Just because it’s an elective medical procedure doesn’t negate the truth of its medical benefits.
complications with circumcision happen more often than instances of it being beneficial
That’s just not true, my dude.
The American Academy of Pediatrics states that “the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks and that the procedure’s benefits justify access to this procedure for families who choose it. Specific benefits identified included prevention of urinary tract infections, penile cancer, and transmission of some sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.”
I’m all for choice on this topic. But they shouldn’t even call it female circumcision, as there’s no medical benefit to such a procedure, and such practice should only be referred to as female genital mutilation (or cutting).
Cultural and ascetic opinions aside, male circumcision is objectively medically beneficial.
I was just reading his Wikipedia page and was reminded of the Six Flags incident, I was at that show. It was a subtle incident but bizarre. Just started throwing stands into the crowd. I was on the side and barely realized what was happening until someone said something. The rest of the show went on if I remember correctly, I was there to see WCAR who was great so they didn’t cancel the rest of the show or anything.
To your edit; it was a great example, but if you say anything positive about blockchain (or Apple, or capitalism, etc) you’ll likely be heavily downvoted on Lemmy.

Criminally dubious, indeed. But here we are, where laws in this and many other regressive states are breaking and bending in ways that befuddle the mind - the educated mind at least.
Yeah. It’s truly bat-shit crazy watching what’s going on. What a miracle vaccinations are, a true testament to mankind’s prowess. Then Florida does this (Alabama - lookin’ at you too, bruh).
A brief search indicates that only 1-2% of children are unable to receive traditional vaccinations due to allergies or immunocompromised conditions.
I’m willing to bet that the unethical doctors writing exemptions likely have an unbalanced amount of child-vaccination exemptions to administered child-vaccinations ratio. Such discrepancies should be thoroughly investigated.
In other words, if more than 2 out of every 100 children, a particular doctor consults with, are given vaccination exemptions, then something is suspicious.
I mean a fetus is closer to a parasite than a person. It doesn’t have thoughts as we know them, no personality - the real things that makes you human.
I’d say until that parasite has exited and cut from the host, the host gets to choose what happens and when.
I don’t think that’s why this guy is mad
I mean this is all subjective of course, but something like installing apps on macOS is extremely easy. Like Windows, apps can install themselves in about three or so different ways (not including managed devices), but most macOS apps you download are simply dragged into the applications folder - that’s it. To uninstall, you drag the app to the trash bin and empty the trash.
My man!
So why fuck Apple? You’re using an Android device, Apple has updated their software in a way that doesn’t compel you to want to try an Apple device, end of story why all the vitriol?
I could see, maybe, if you were already an Apple user and wanted them to make a change that you want on your device. But having so much hate for a device you have no intention of using anyway?
What do you mean by that?
