I thought it was wonderful. There were a few moments were the dialog was like “hmm” but for the most part it was amazing. There are a lot of details…I liked it.

Aren’t tutorials already optional?
Strange new worlds is a blast as is lower decks. I just wish there were more episodes!
Nah - maybe at one point.
There is some real variety.
However, to be fair, there is a difference between going to a convention you are interested in and working a convention.
I enjoy these, thank you wise one.
I would add that a snippet of the original series theme is heard at one point at the end of one of the songs, and I don’t remember hearing it any other SNW episode. I didn’t draw any connections to it at the time but now I wonder if it was drawing a line between the characters on screen at the time. Will have to go rewatch.
That is what happened at the of WW1 which created conditions that were a straight line into WW2.
The reality it is far better to support a people back into democratic, peaceful self-governed society vs perpetuate the damage and trauma of a bestial dictatorship.
Great call.
“Scully, this is a classic case of demon fetal harvest.”
We felt like this was painful and nearly unwatchable. Individual performance aside…please no more!
This one was pretty cringy. It would be passable if we got an extra episode to make it up for it.
Dear diary,
Today I forgot about how the internet functions, and have decided to ignore how a router + infinite cpu & storage works, without websites that are not documenting who their visitors aren’t, so they can’t sell advertising, nor sell to groups who aren’t affiliated with state governments.
Sincerely, Not a computer scientist
If there were 15 episodes per season, a few TOS bridges would be ok. But at ten? It is very tight, there is only so much story that fits.
I like how SNW is exploring the world, both inside the Enterprise and outside. There are more trees to set on fire with the current cast climbing them, more science fiction to explore, more places to discover.
If that includes some ”These Old Scientist” links, so be it—but I do like the word New in the title!
Precisely why I left
Did we see anything that suggested he hadn’t let go?
Yeah we were bummed out as well.
Oooh—good pt!
Could be foreshadowing!!! I am not tracking the significance of the busted sick bay but I’m sure there is something there!
I agree with you. However I see the Klingon as the ray of hope in this story.
Even if the Klingon’s diplomat status was built on a lie, unless something else reveals new information, the Klingon was dealing with his role in his past war crimes in a positive fashion.
This episode has highlighted how shady Benga has been for quite a well, from his daughter on in. Nurse Chapel walks the gray line as well. I do like him as a character and the idea of a murderous “Frank Castle, CMO” is hmmm some good stuff.
I liked the look Spock shot Chapel when she said “you feel like” and he was like … umm … surely you jest…and let it go. Very cool! And great Vulcan logic in this ep.
Honestly Una should have clued Pike in, not to mention starfleet being all “eat a bag of dicks” knowing full well who was on the enterprise…so who in command has it out for Pike?
you almost got it, no past tense about shaming EMACS for being fat + bloated :)
