lol I was scratching my head at that choice as well.

Interesting! Certainly there are swift web frameworks out there. The trouble is I’d either have to work for a company crazy enough to let me take a big risk on using it, or else it’d have to be a personal project I do just for the hell of it.
I know you described it as “young” but I almost can’t believe swift is 10 years old now, oof. I remember watching wwdc when it was announced, surely that was recent… right?? 💀
Same! I love using swift but I don’t get to do a lot of iOS development these days. I wish it had more of a life outside of apple platforms.
Yes, so much this! We played 4 player goldeneye on screens the size of a postage stamp for goodness sake.
Since puzzle games seem to be the theme overall here I’ll mention Cocoon. It’s a recent puzzler that is absolutely gorgeous to look at and did some super clever stuff imo.
+1 for Tunic especially if you go for all of the late game puzzles and other stuff that I shall not spoil. I have the Tunic plushy up on my shelf!
Oh nice. I loved Control, so this is comforting to see!
Now that is a level of spite I can get behind.
Looks pretty awful to me. Wild casting choices. I like Jack Black but he doesn’t read right as Claptrap to me at all. Roland is a gruff tough guy, not whatever Hart is going to do here. And Tina here comes off as a scared child instead of the absolute firebrand she ought to be.
I am actually very excited for this! It came as such a surprise when it was first announced, I almost couldn’t believe it.
I still use and love RSS. 🙂
Back in the day I was a big Google Reader fan, then they went and killed it off. Now I use a combination of Feedbin on the web and the Reeder app on iOS.
Will somebody please make the live actions stop.
I thought Tax Evasion was an absolute delight. Yeah it’s short and silly, but it made me laugh a lot and that’s all I was really hoping for. Hoping for more of the same from the next one.
I’ve used IBM Plex Mono for a long time. Currently giving github’s new Monaspace a try.
I love how, much like the confrontation with Qual, this show subverts your expectations of a typical shonen. In the end there is no big bombastic fight, it’s over in minutes. And DAMN that ending, even though Aura is evil, felt cold as fuck.
If I have one criticism of this episode in particular is that it felt like a long wikipedia entry info dump. That’s just a thing anime/manga do from time to time but it felt more pronounced here. Within a minute of Flamme giving her speech about hiding mana you pretty much know exactly how things are gonna go.
Damn if this show can’t still make me tear up, seeing the flowers around Flamme’s grave.
Keychron Q5, knob version. Tecsee coral tactile switches and akko keycaps.
My series 5 battery has been much worse since installing watchOS 10.
I really liked Unsighted and didn’t feel like I saw a whole lot of hype around it at the time.
I keep thinking back to years ago when someone at work tried to tell me this guy was good and I could just tell on vibes alone to stay clear.
