It was a commentary about the quantum model itself and how the current state of the model is laughably incomplete and unable to adequately answer or predict anything of value (yet). It wasn’t until more recently that some Newtonian physics might be explainable as emergent properties of quantum mechanics, but we are still a long ways away from a unified or blurred model.

Yup. 16 years ago as I was finishing high school, my friends and I would have a solid 2-3 month window of going to play in the snow on a nearby stretch of mountains. We’d go several times a year every couple weeks. Now, the ski resort there is lucky to have 2-3 weeks of usable snow.

I didn’t get a chance to look too deep into it, while it looks great for human reading in a terminal, can I just as easily output the diff to a patch file like I do often with ‘git diff [commit] [commit] > patch.txt and git apply it?

As much as I want this game to improve and succeed…. This ain’t the way chief.

If you’re doing any writing on it that’s beyond a quick text or search, you’d either use dictation or a connected MacBook’s keyboard, or a connected wireless keyboard. The pass-through is so clear and lag free that you can just look at the physical keyboard if you need to / can’t touch type.

Well, that’s probably true for the most part but by far the reality is that it comes down to lowest bidder 9/10 times. Unrealistic budgets and unrealistic time frames with as cheap labor they can find gets you a large amount of government funded projects throughout all the years.

Some extensions don’t work but many do, you just have to download the extension files from the marketplace website and tell VCCodium to install the extensions from those files.

If you can, a physical copy will be much better. It’s one of the few books that doesn’t translate as week to e-reader/digital for [redacted] reasons.

I should reread House of Leaves.

Right. In 2017 I had to buy a car and decided to go new. For $20k I got a hatchback that serves all my needs, even as a fwd vehicle. There isn’t a single EV on the market that comes close to that price, let alone in that form factor.

Edit: I should mention that this sub-compact vehicle has 150hp, 4 doors, and seatbelts for 5 (including driver). It’s an excellent family vehicle that’s very safe and would be a great learner’s car in the future. It’s even mechanically simple and easy to repair. If I could just have this exact car in an EV form that didn’t cost 2.5x as much, I would be happy to upgrade.

The moon photos they’re talking about are specifically the AI enhanced zoom moon photos of previous Samsung models that caught controversy because taking a picture of a marginally round object against a black background with their zoom enhancement would produce a moon photo even if it was in someone’s dark basement and the object was a dimly lit bottle cap.

Doesn’t help that El Niño is currently in effect, with the next several seasons predicted to be affected by it. Muddies the data, so to speak.

What a sad state when a PvE, P2P game requires installing a rootkit. Was looking forward to this game, but now I won’t even get it on PS5, even if I was originally going to play through proton on steam.
