In the Netherlands we have trash separation for plastic and empty carton packages from milk ,yoghurt etc. Recently it came out that often 75% is rejected and treated as normal trash. :-/ Why fucking bother if you’re not recycling properly. Bastards.

In my area being a linux admin actually pays less than I expected. I kinda always hoped to get into a linux admin role. Now I have a sort of cloud ops role and it makes more than a typical linux admin would. It would just be silly for me to pursue this any further. That doesn’t mean I don’t touch Linux on a daily basis at work. But it’s more alround.

I lately often use chatgpt for these kind of things. It’s amazing in breaking down the parameters and what they mean. Verify, especially when the problem is hard and apparently unfindable. Chatgpt won’t find it either. It sometimes makes up things in these scenarios.

Why the downvotes? Ps is pretty good and it works well on Linux too.
I often end up in ps because I’m more familiar with it. But only if I have to do some scripting or so.

yeah the location, the atmosphere. I generally don’t play these type of games so I probably should’ve never considered it. But all my friends were playing it so I tried it.

It’s just the fact that the distros you rely on become more unstable. For the administrator/company it’s just a migration or actually pay up. I work quite a lot with Ansible. But the current moves of red hat makes me afraid that’s the next thing they will focus on to put behind a paywall.
Ah man, I was like this is not a very big deal but in a way I felt a little sad when it actually stopped working. They should rename the app to, reddit is not fun.

From everything I asked chatgpt I found the most success in helping me understand some stuff in Linux or just writing small simple scripts that does some converting. But more often than not if I ask it about a system and how something should work, it literally makes something up. If you have googled already and read the documentation it’s probably not going to help you.
In the case of linux there is too much info on the web where it gets all the info from too so if posts are old or false it literally provides you with wrong information as a fact.
What I have learned to do is to just try it but I want to fully understand what it does and I’ll convert stuff to my own style.
I generally end up using snake case.
