What about the giant colourful letters saying MARIO PARTY makes you think the isn’t a Mario game?
What about the giant colourful letters saying MARIO PARTY makes you think the isn’t a Mario game?
I’m assuming the person you’re imagining to be objectively bad is either literally Hitler or a skinhead neonazi with swastika tattoos and a history of violence, right? What about people who joined the Nazi party because the alternative was having their lives destroyed, or the kid with a bad home life who was radicalised by a gang of thugs who are his only friends? They’re both fascists and victims of fascism, where do you draw the line at who should be killed?
Obviously most people agree that WW2 was justified to stop the Nazis conquering the world, but you can’t just say “it’s OK to kill someone because they’re X”, because then you just need to label whoever you dislike as part of that out-group and suddenly you’ve justified killing whoever you want.
It’s never fine to say “it’s fine to kill all X”. You need to stop fascists, but you can do that without fucking killing anyone you’ve decided is evil.
they are when the folks they killed were fascists
Ah but it’s OK because the people I killed were all baddies!
I’m in Britain, things did get very slightly less bad this year!
Hey Uncle Sam, the USA isn’t the whole universe!
Well the other thing is that it’s very difficult to instantly tell from a pseudonymous internet comment whether the writer is a normal person up for a civilised discussion or a troll just looking to wind people up. And no offence, but you sounded pretty pro-brexit so not unreasonable to suspect you were a troll!
Sealioning is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity, and feigning ignorance of the subject matter.
Whether or not you’re intending to do this your comments do come off a little bit like that. I don’t really like the term that much as people often use it to dismiss any further discussion, but it could be why the other commenters don’t want to chat.
Alright, alright, the shurethra if you want to get technical
Looking at this and your other comments I think they just don’t want to engage with the sealion
Well when you give a shit about the environment and then you hear about people doing something incredibly wasteful it winds you up, you know?
Lots of people taking you up on your username 24 hours a day, eh?
Ooh sauté, well lah-de-dah Mr Frenchman!
Are they children who don’t pay the electricity bill, selfish energy wasters, or just idiots?
Thankfully none of the ones I’ve seen do that!
the world has always been and will always be difficult
So why do you think a child deserves to be brought into a world where they’re going to suffer?
Kitchens often have powerful extract fans so really it’s the safest choice
Don’t worry, most of us find it pretty odd too, but apparently American media fucking loves them!
More just “America odd”. From a British perspective Americans seem to be very obsessed with their ancestry and talk about it like it’s their nationality. Just a culture difference.
Also be careful about assuming a Northern Irish protestant identifies as Irish!
It’s a single country with a single currency, a single government, a single history, and a single language. Yes there’s a lot of variance within the country, but it’s really nothing compared to visiting Europe.
