Don’t know your stance about it, but on the VitaPiracy subreddit you can find a post with a torrent of almost 1000GB of games iirc

Sounds like the beginning of the end… I should start archiving the channels I like
Well, it’s not that easy… Denuvo is ONE DRM, removing it doesn’t mean there aren’t any other layers still present in the new builds, and since, for the most part, GOG games are completely devoid of DRM, Denuvo being removed doesn’t actually mean that the game can be sold on GOG.
Skyrim never had Denuvo, yet started being sold on GOG something like a year ago or so
I see, that’s a bummer. Oh, well
“It’s not about the money, it’s about sending a message”.
I refuse Denuvo on principle, only buy worthy games when they remove it. But I think Atlus games never got Denuvo removed? Even after years. So it’s either it gets cracked and I play it, or it doesn’t and I won’t lose sleep over it lol
Here’s hoping P5R is on the list!
Well, at the moment you’re downloading that file from only 1 seed, can’t do anything about that, and they’re probably seeding a lot of different stuff and so can allocate to you only that much bandwidth. You can’t do much about it except for waiting, maybe someone else will seed to you later
Yeah, most good/popular stuff has a ton of seeders already, and often many different releases as well. I also have no ratio limits on underappreciated stuff, while setting 10 ratio on some popular stuff with thousands of seeds
Any updates on this? I can’t provide much, as Nintendo games are not something I’m interested in, but I guess I can allocate 800-1000GB or so for some time for this, if there’s an archive torrent already made
Found a comment below, but after thinking about it we’d need something a bit more “official” and “centralized”, like Vimm’s was, otherwise we’d be spreading it too thin and would end up with many different un-searchable, un-findable torrents with few seeds for the same things
They don’t allow port forwarding anymore, if I’m not mistaken
I don’t even know what Usenet is, so I’m 100% torrents, which I keep seeding ad infinitum as I don’t have storage issues. My most-seeded thing is nearing 150 ratio lol
The game was bought and the mods I’m talking about have a free tier, the one I’m using now, which has only one version of the “circuit”, and the paid tier, which has all the layouts. The paywalled layouts are usually “better” (i.e. longer and more fun)
Thanks though!
Yeah, but those are all free. I’m looking for some mods that you can only have by Patreon or other payment, for Assetto Corsa
You’re right, sorry. Specifically Assetto Corsa, the “80s drift spots” paid mods
Any ideas why this happens? I’ve gotten some blank results as well in some occasions and now I’m wondering if this is why
Mr. GOG comes to your house and destroys the drive you’re storing the game on
Same approach, especially now that I upgraded my storage. Got a ratio of 135 on one file, no idea how or why though
You must have made a mistake somewhere, as once I close the Proton VPN client (actual “close”, as in the app is not running anymore) my qBit does stop downloading (just tested), although the rest of the system still has access to the network (must have something to do with how apps are installed on Linux, I guess).
In my qBit settings > advanced > network interface I read “tun0”, and that’s what I think was suggested in the official setup guide on Proton. What do you have?
Hey, I’ve been torrenting on Linux through the ProtonVPN program without issues for the past months.
I don’t know the specifics because I’m new to Linux, but I followed the official guide on how to set it up and everything just worked. Don’t even need to change the port in qBit, I can upload anyway as long as I pick a P2P server in Proton, and very fast too (depending of what people want me to seed), uncapped upload speed often nears my max upload bandwidth.
Also binding qBit to the VPN is not a problem, just follow the official guide. Tested it now, and if I disconnect the VPN, qBit shows a red world in the network status and speeds go to zero, so it works.
It’s true that the Linux client is not as fully-fledged as the Windows one, but it’s not unusable.
I’m on PoP!_OS if it can be of any help. If you have questions that might help you with using Proton on Linux feel free to ask and I’ll try my best!
Very useful! 90%+ of my collection is FitGirl’s repacks and I did have some issues with some of them so thanks!
